i see a build forthe 3200 is back , is it safe , anybody give ita try yet , I'M afraid my mind is not up to my router crashing and having to rebuild from scratch . guess I'lk be waiting for fedback from the more adventurous among us giving it a shot . . Thanks Merlin fo all the work you put in maintaining this FW.

If you are afraid to rebuild from scratch, then an alpha build is not for you.

384.10 is based on the same GPL code as 384.9.



What's that error message? Where are you seeing it? I'll need some context...

I see the clients on the DHCP leases page. A few minutes later, the client page is empty and the message 'No active leases' appears. On the wireless log page you will find all clients with the name <not found>

The client is then connected to this router.

Firmware version 384.8_2 didn't have this problem.

Any customization to your dnsmasq settings?

What's the content of your /var/lib/misc/dnsmasq.leases file?

I haven't had any other similar report, so there must be something special with your configuration.

Thanks for the information! I do use a custom dnsmasq configuration with the name dnsmasq.conf.add on /jffs/configs with:

address=/asus.DOMAIN.com/192.168.1.1

And I use Devision (adblocker)

I have now installed 384.9 again. I report again if the problem occurs.

384.10 seems to be working well on my 3200 , just loaded and it worked , another great Merlin build , 26 hours and nothing unusual in the logs , all clients stable a few 128 gb transfers went through without a hiccup .

Without a test case allowing me to reproduce it, I have nowhere to begin looking at this issue. The error message itself is far too generic.

Please review the changelog for more details.

There is a number of known issues in this release that cannot be fixed at this time:

• dcd process crashing on RT-AC86U (bug in Trend Micro's code, outside of my control).
• IPv6s on Tracked Connections have their last two bytes set to 00 (bug in Trend Micro's code truncating the last two bytes).
• No IPS events logged (bug in Asus's code, IPS should work, just fails to log hits)
• Networkmap listing may be unreliable. (Bug in Asus's code)
• Users failing to read changelogs will probably complain about the above issues. (Outside of my control).

What is the output of "sort /etc/dnsmasq.conf"?

Check your system log to see if there's any error message related to dnsmasq. Maybe something is causing the process to fail starting, so when httpd tries to signal it to dump the list of known leases, the process is no longer there to answer.

HDD spin down exceptions are back to only taking place after a reboot with latest alpha2. I believe the fix you applied on 384.9, 'USB disk idle config changes not applying without a reboot' was working in 384.9.

The DHCP list is empty again. I did service restart_dnsmasq but that doesn't solve it. The problem is really in Diversion.
