    Your LAN should usually be a single network/subnet, so no internal routing (RIP) should be needed. Your setup seems fine.

    I think squid can still be used with HTTPS but you would need to add your own self-signed squid CA to your browser's trusted cert list.

    @gjf Since you don't know why it no longer works, how about being more receptive to trying the ideas people offer? What could it hurt?

    There shoudn't be any problems. The most common "fix" when there are problems is to delete the SSID and re-add it at the client.

    Can you increase the verbosity of Transmission's logging? Debug mode maybe?

    Oh, you could probably do that by using custom user scripts and iptables, ebtables, and vconfig.

    That seems like a semi-useless objective. If you want anonymity, strive for that. Changing your IP may or may not accomplish that. What is your underlying objective?

    Make sure that the RT-AC68U has accurate time. This is usually set by configuring an NTP time server.

    1 thing, pfSense isn't really a good choice for a networking bridge/switch since it's a 100% software device. Unless you're fully aware of the networking drawbacks of what you are trying to do, I'd seriously consider just doing it right: modem -> pfSense -> switch -> everything else.

    I think I understand. Ultimately it seems like a dangerous setup. Maybe not though. You'd likely want to separate pfSense & the modem into it's own VLAN which isn't easy with AsusWRT.. To get more help you could post a pic of your proposed network topology and the appropriate details so that...

    Why not use router-mode with DHCP disabled? You need share more details about what you are trying to do.

    If you search, there's a good thread regarding VLANs somewhere on here. It's not a simple task but it's possible though I'm a bit unclear about what you are trying to do.
