Long time reader/lurker. I have a good deal of respect for this site. I don't know much of anything about networking. I can follow instructions.

I have two buildings, one a garage and the house. The garage has the (modem and) main router, a Linksys EA2700, with DHCP and NAT enabled. The home has a Linksys E1200 connected via ethernet (to port 1 iirc). DHCP and NAT are off on this device. The E1200's IP is set to x.x.0.150 to compliment the main system on x.x.0.x. The 0.150 address is configured as a reserved IP in the EA2700. Is anything missing?
Should RIP be enabled? Are other alterations required? Any assistance is appreciated.

Thank you.

Your LAN should usually be a single network/subnet, so no internal routing (RIP) should be needed.

Your setup seems fine.
