    AC68P and Apple devices

I'm currently running firmware 3.0.0.4.378_4585 and find that every so often I have to reboot in order to resolve extreme slowness on my iphone and ipad. I have 2.4 and 5ghz on separate SSID's. My ipad uses 5ghz. Last night it was painfully slow. Getting ~4Mb download on a 60Mb connection...

Can't Access USB Drives on RT-AC68U

Go to Wireless, Professional and disable "Reducing USB 3.0 Interference". See if that helps. None of my USB drives are recognized unless this setting is disabled

AC-68P with Merlin 378.51 QoS issue

Thanks for the response. Turns out this must be a bug in Merlin's firmware. I installed Asus 378.4585 and port forwarding works fine with Adaptive QoS enabled.

AC-68P with Merlin 378.51 QoS issue

Hi all, I'm hoping someone can help me with a problem. Today I upgraded my AC-68P from stock to Merlin 378.51 mainly so I could use the new Adaptive QoS feature. I work from home so I wanted to be able to set my IP phone and work laptop to highest priority. Firmware update went fine then I...

Asus releases FW update for RT-AC68P that is older than current FW

It's quite obvious Asus has no clue what they're doing. Their most recent AC68U firmware is bricking routers.

    iOS 8.1 performance

Oh I see. I was just responding to the OP's reports of wifi issues under ios 8. Any idea if/when you'll be supporting the AC68P with your firmware?

    iOS 8.1 performance

Is it exposed in the stock drivers? I have the AC68P. Not sure if you support that one with your builds yet

    iOS 8.1 performance

Thanks Merlin. Yeah, I've tried all the usual Apple wifi fixes. The root problem does seem to be ios 8, but I'll definitely try your suggestion for 802.11d+h. Any downsides to doing that? Edit, Under Wireless I don't have Advanced. Only General, WPS, WDS, Wireless MAC Filter, RADIUS and...

    iOS 8.1 performance

Agreed, but I was hoping the AC68 would keep me from having to do so. Plus, I'm stuck with my iPhone 6 for two more years

    iOS 8.1 performance

Wow this thread is disappointing. I just purchased an AC68P precisely because it seemed no one was having the issue with Asus routers. Guess I'll be returning it

    RT-AC68P QOS questions.

@pinkfloyd1173, did you trying flashing Merlin's FW? I too am considering an AC68P and would like to know if QOS works properly with it. I work from home and have to give my work laptop and IP phone highest priority at all times

    Thanks all :)

    Mixing AC and N wireless

I'm considering adding a AC68 then using my N66u as an AP to extend range. Will there be any issues with the 5ghz network supporting AC via one device and only N on the other? Will AC clients handle the switch easily?

N66u in AP mode DNS question

I just setup my n66u in AP mode. It seems to be working fine but one setting I wasn't sure what, if anything, to enter and that's DNS. On the LAN page I have the option to connect to dns server automatically and boxes for dns1 and 2. How should I set these? Leave blank or enter the IP of the...

    QoS

Hi, I have a new home office and use an Avaya IP phone. My router is a Linksys E4200 v1. My laptop connects wirelessly but the IP phone is hard wired. My question is regarding QoS. I have a 30 meg down / 3 meg up cable connection. Most often it's just me using the network (phone & laptop) but...
