yes, I tried two different USB drives. I can see the problem with ab-solution is that it doesn't connect to the main site its trying to download and install from. The whole process times out after like 45 seconds of trying to connect.

Can you manually open ab-solution.info website in the browser? Also can you ping it from the router?

I can only access his site when I turn on my client VPN on Windows or iphone. Without the client VPN his site just tries to load and times out. So I SSH into merlin router with and without client VPN and both time out when trying to install ab-solution.

Then either it's your ISP/DNS issue or something else on the router is blocking the website.

What is the output of nslookup AB-Solution.info on the router?

VPN is not running directly on the router so it will obviously time out since the traffic is not passing through VPN.

I just noticed it goes to a website that has .ch in it?!?! Is that correct? I have the country ban of CH (China) in my skynet country block.,

CN is China. CH is Switzerland, which is where AB-Solution is hosted.

In future here is the reference list

I have tried to install ab-solution even before I installed skynet and still times out, I simply can not reach the website either unless I use my mobile at&t carrier for internet access or a client vpn app. Regular wifi doesn't reach the website. I did undo the ban ch, still not working.

My traceroute ab-solution.info info is in the photo:

thank you guys for working with me.

Ok then the issue is from your ISP, your traceroute is timing out before it reaches the AB-Solution website.

Contact them and ask for support.

I contacted them but they were of no help. I told them I cant access a website I really need to access and they told me to do a ipconfig /reset , ipconfig /renew. I tried that but nothing happened.

What I did notice is, i switched from a higher tier service of internet to a lower tier just yesterday and thats when it all happened. I belive they gave me a new dynamic IP address so I looked my new ip in the blacklist section of a website and cisco talos and sure enough my ip has been blacklisted by: Here is the image of the blacklists, maybe this is why i cant reach ab-solution unless I am on a vpn app. However i tried to run ssh trhough the vpn and install ab-solution and it still didn't work. You think the black list is causing this? I don't even know why my new ip is blacklisted, i dont have malware or send spam.

It can be due to anything but the issue is from your ISP and the only solutions I can think of is either setup a VPN directly on the router and install AB-Solution through that or use a different ISP for installation.

OK thank you for all your effort and help, I will be calling them up again and if they don't solve this problem I may have to switch from my current cable provider to my phone carriers DSL....
once again thanks!

I called my isp and he said because the ban on my ip from those blacklist sites caused the problem. he had me use the MAC CLONE featre in the router to issue me a new ip, and all is working now.

First, thanks for the project. I been using AdBlock for sometime and just recently came across this and installed on my router so all my mobile devices can get the ads blocking benefit. I noticed when I use AdBlock the ads on the page are completely gone but with AB-Solution the ad spaces are still there, just greyed out with a sad smiley face. Is this the expected behavior with AB-Solution? I found this rather annoying with a bunch of grey boxes all over the screen.

This has been explained before.

Thanks for response, didn't want to read thru all 149 pages.. so it seems AdBlock work better as it is able to completely remove the ad space
SNB Forums has an excellent search feature on each page. That is how I found those for you. ;)
