New Around Here
Hi,

have a look at these links - https://getdnsapi.net/ and http://www.theregister.co.uk/2016/11/22/dns_boffins_offer_up_privacy_test/

a new IETF approved privacy-enabling feature for DNS. DNS requests are extremely revealing about user activity, since they identify every server you seek out on the public Internet. So Stubby provides a resolver that can accept connections and return responses over Transport Layer Security (TLS) at the user-side. The “stub resolver” (for example, the DNS resolver in a home router counts as a stub, and if it were supported, it could encrypt its communications with an ISP's DNS).

I know adding features is not a priority for the firmware. However I thought this is a good to have feature and Merlin's firmware could be a first to support such a technology.

Alternatively someone could build scripts to support Stubby?

You would have to ask the dnsmasq author. Asuswrt uses dnsmasq for DNS resolution.
