I'll have to see if it isn't way over my head, I can still go to the stats page from my bookmarks.
This was more intended to the script developers, as it's not something simple to do yourself if you're not already familiar with Asuswrt's code.

It is working now. I powered off an let it sit for five minutes. VPN started automatically after power turned back on. I then installed fake-hwclock. Doubt I really need it. I tehn did a reboot thru the gui and it started okay this time. I'll do an occasional reboot and power on/off as we progress thru the 380.68 releases to keep an eye on it.Check your clock. If ntp_ready is never set, then the clients will fail to start.
ntp_server0=pool.ntp.org
ntp_server1=time.nist.gov
ntp_ready=1
ntp_server_tried=pool.ntp.org
Not sure if will help but clearing browser's cache solved the glitches I had when logged in first time with https.Noticing a few times i log in to the UI either it freezes or wierd things show up like the memory usage graph sits pegged out and the UI is unresponsive. I can close it and try again and its ok again. Using latest Chrome. Never had this with your other builds. I am sure i cant be alone on this. Thanks for your work..
First visual problem I found:
@ the VPN status page my laptop and smartphone are shown as connected with the corresponding vpn account, @ the vpn-server page the accounts are shown as not connected.
Https works fine with Firefox 55. Same issue as described with Chrome 60. Hangs and 1/2 fills in, can exit and login with http then go back to https and it seems to work. At least sometimes. It is a lot slower tho and pages flash white as they update. Edge seems to work fine as well except the slowness Something kooky with Chrome and https apparently.Are you using HTTPS? Google Chrome (and possibly other browsers too, I didn't test) doesn't like something about Asuswrt's webui when running over https. No idea what it is, the issue is random (and seems to mostly occur on first access - once cached, pages load fine), and everything works fine under http.
Ok i have not tried the HTTPS method what is involved in using this. Basically how do i do this. I assume its more secure then HTTP. Sorry i am a little behind the times here and does this work with only merlin builds ? Can someone explain ?
Hello Merlin,
For the AC-5300 which of the files on mediafire is the most current? I am confused because the dates don't line up with the numbering.
Thanks,
J
Where did you get the file? From my vantage point, the file is dated Aug. 6.I saw there was a new 380.68 alpha 2 available dated Aug 7 RT-AC88U_380.68_alpha2-g5d6b6dd.zip I received an invalid firmware message when I tried to flash.
Does anyone know if NTP Daemon for ASUSWRT/Merlin is compatible with this version? The install knocked the link away from the tools section.
Mediafire. The difference may be because of my timezone.Where did you get the file? From my vantage point, the file is dated Aug. 6.

I see, you're 12 hour ahead from my time zone. BTW, did the firmware works now?
