When setting up a HTTPS connection in the adminstration/system settings, setting to both and 8443, than installing the certificate into Edge the certificate only works 1 day, the next day i get your connection isnt private.

It's much smoother if you use a "Lets Encrypt" certificate, though my setup is a little eclectic, so hopefully @Ripshod or one of the other regulars who have this working with more normal settings, can point you in the right direction!

To be honest, though I have it working there's really no need to secure a local connection to your own router. Just add exceptions in your browser.
The way I did it was to use the same FQDN I use for NO-IP DDNS, opting to use the let's encrypt certificate. So I use the same domain to access my router from the LAN as I'd use to access my network from the internet, along with the certificate that's automatically provided. It's really quite simple.

Are

Do you have any instructions/config info posted? This has always been a mystery to me how an internet domain can be used for both local and external.
There's only two places for the necessary settings - ddns and lan

If you need further help start a new thread - let this one get back on track 😁

This gets you from A to B, but sort of left-hand side driving in networking and you may get corrected for doing unconventional wrong in general things. :)

Are you using private browser windows? Did you manually install the certificate or use the browser's prompt to 'add it'?

That's just how it looks when you view the certificate directly - quite normal!

I now installed the certificate using the browser prompt.

Installing the certificate with certificates management in Edge fixed the problem.
