It's now applied on mine, but has the same md5 than the beta, I think it's the same thing
 
yes, has happened before... just zipped with a new date but same MD5. So, identical. No need to re-apply the firmware.

Someone has any trouble with smart QoS on .5134?

Still no probs with iPad 2, iPad Mini, iPad Mini 2, iPad Air 2, iPhone 5, iPhone 5s, and iPhone 6 (or other devices inc 2 x Chromecast and an Intel Ac7260 laptop), with 5Ghz BF off. In fact they couldn't really be working better. Considering they have a router and AP (same SSID) each with 2.4 and 5Ghz networks to roam between that's pretty good I think.

Adaptive QoS and aiProtection are on.

Yes, I've been testing with diff. iOS and Android devices (and an intel wireless card) and no problems at all even with AiProtection and Smart QoS on.
One android dropped a couple of times, but then I determined it was that device who was disconnecting from any 5Ghz wireless [emoji106]

What do you guys mean by "drop"? A momentary disconnect? You need to rest wifi on the device to get it to work again, but then all is OK? 5Ghz wifi disappears for all devices until router reboot? Other?

Almost all of these "disconnect" or "drop" complaints (especially involving Apple products) are actually issues with their specific client/adapter. I have had zero issues with 378.5134. Even my wife and daughter are connecting & staying connected with their iPhone 6's. AiProtection on but no QoS (it simply isn't needed). :cool:
 
Yep, I too suspect these are client side disconnects, but still it would be good to be clear about what they are seeing. I also wonder if there are tools for Mac and Android that, like Intel's tools for Windows, tell you exactly who disconnected and, if it's the client, why. That would be useful.
 
I'm seeing the same problem with a Galaxy S4.

Because of my work we need to keep multiple devices with various operating systems and versions to test our network and websites and keep them compatible with most any user, and I can tell you we have a Galaxy S4 running Lollipop with zero issues on the latest Asus firmware.
 
in my case, drop is completely disappeared. i have to button-power off the unit and turn back on, i'm here to report the issue in case the asus support reading this or something, not blaming any body or pointing finger.

The phone shows that the 5Ghz connection is still up, but there is no internet connectivity (as shown by WiFi Overview 360). I need to turn off Wi-Fi on the phone and turn it back on again for connectivity to be restored. It will then work again for awhile. No other routers or 2.4Ghz on the RT-AC87 have this problem.
