I cannot seem to tie clients to a certain nodes with Lyra Aimesh. Any plans to integrate this?

For Lyra it is only possible if you are running the beta AiMesh 2.0 firmware.

I guess by beta you mean 9.0.0.4.384_46629 beta firmware that is listed on the lyra page right?

In release notes, It doesn't say anything about aimesh though.

So far so good although more clients seem to want to connect to the primary despite optimizing.

That's better after adjusting the roaming assistant from -70 to -55 which seems to have balanced my devices out.

You are right that -55 is higher than -70, but this makes it more likely to be switched to the stronger node.

At -70 you can still have a

I would consider it a relative value instead of an absolute value. Its absolute accuracy is not as important as its relative difference and effectiveness on client roaming and/or client node connection stability.

I think this thread is now dead. Asus has been crickets here since January. Likely this beta has run it's course as many routers now have an official 386 release.

The latest official firmware was released on March 18, 2021. The version number 42095 is newer than the latest beta 41994.

The best proof that it was done by asus is that files that were available here before they were posted on asus download page had the same sums.
