Not sure if related to this beta build, but there use to be an option where I could select NO-IP.COM for my VPN. I do not see this anymore. Did it get relocated or taken out?

DDNS and VPN are two totally different things. The DDNS configuration remains under WAN -> DDNS.

Can someone tell me please if usb modem huawei e3131-h is recognised by this build with AC-87U ? I have !?@& internet right now, about 2kb/s and I can't test it. Thank you.

USB modem support is identical to what is supported by Asus's 378_9177.

Most accurately, *.55 and stock Asus do load, and *.56 does not.

I'll reboot on stock and see if I see an explicit mention of the ufsd driver loading....

OK, stock shows this:

ul 31 17:00:19 kernel: Initializing USB Mass Storage driver...
Jul 31 17:00:19 kernel: usbcore: registered new interface driver usb-storage
Jul 31 17:00:19 kernel: USB Mass Storage support registered.
Jul 31 17:00:20 kernel: ufsd: driver (8.6 U86_r187446_b122, LBD=ON, acl, ioctl, rwm, ws, sd) loaded at c020b000
Jul 31 17:00:20 kernel: NTFS (with native replay) support included
Jul 31 17:00:20 kernel: optimized: speed

Nothing like this in *.56beta....

I don't have anti virus software :), thanks, besides, .55 firmware works fine, upgrade to .56_b1 - troubles. My environment has not otherwise changed. I had to revert back to .55 as I do not have the time to determine the issue right now. Everything is back to normal with .55. I'll try this upgrade again somewhere down the road, maybe when .56 is out of beta.

Just a note, I had never had those problems either, until I moved to a particular revision of the firmware. Or maybe it was correlated with an upgrade in my antivirus software, or a combination of both *smile*. However, it just started to act up when I flashed a new version of a firmware that I had already been using with no problem, and took me a while to track it down. That's why I thought of that when I read your posting.

Good luck!

Curious if the realtime traffic monitor is working correctly with the RT-AC68U/P yet? I'm hoping for a fix to that from Asus.

Thanks.

I can now answer my own question. Yes, the realtime traffic monitor problem has apparently been fixed with this Beta release. It's working again.

Thanks to Asus for fixing this, it was pretty ugly.

For some reason the NTFS ufsd driver is missing on the RT-AC66U build. I'll have to investigate, thanks for the report.

Yes Sir!
Think is coming from Syntax error

unreachable code after return statement
SyntaxError: missing ; before statement :)
ReferenceError: initial is not defined

Can you display the content of that Syntax Error line please?

I am noticing an issue, I I have 2 devices using the same ip. My Nexus 6 is taking the same ip as one of my surveillance cameras which is set with a static ip.

I noticed my phone was having connectivity issues yesterday and think that is the cause. Changing bands, rebooting either device doesn't seem to make them split up.

I've changed the phone to a static ip as well in the meantime.

That's possibly linked to the remaining issues in networkmap that I'm unable to track down, where some entries are corrupted, and are responsible for some of the crashes. I fixed most of them, but for that last one best I could do was to at least prevent the crashes in httpd, as I was unable to track down its location.

There's definitely no way that dnsmasq is allocating the same IP lease to two different devices.

Its pretty strange, I remember the other day when you where checking things out and mentioned the device at 195 which should have been a camera but you were seeing the phone.

Changing the phone to static is an easy enough fix for now though.

Seen this come up a couple times as well.

Code:
Oct 14 20:39:33 kernel: HTB: quantum of class 10001 is big. Consider r2q change.

You can safely ignore, it's just a kernel warning related to QoS's configuration. It's been there since day 1.

Ok, excellent. I never bothered with QoS until now. Having only 10/2 sucks but I am enjoying the new Limiter implementation. Thank you as always!

Not sure if its what you want and if the quality is ok

No, I need the line where the syntax error is. Usually you can see it by clicking on the error message. That will show Javascript code.

You will have to host the files elsewhere, because the content of the line will be unreadable in that thumbnail (or at least limit the screenshot to just the console at the bottom, that will allow you to post a larger file).

There are numerous issues with the RT-AC66U build that are caused by target.mak not being properly formatted. This is causing various features on the RT-AC66U to be disabled: the NTFS driver, Repeater mode, Samba 3.6, etc...

I recommend RT-AC66U users to revert back to 378.55 for now.

Been using the beta1 for 48 hours and the 87u has hung twice with no access via http or telnet possible. Once occured at 2am and the other at 7am.

I did not reset all settings after upgrading so that might be the cause but just wanted to mention it.

Cannot provide logs cause its totally hung and had to do manual reboot to restore services.

Hello Merlin,

I have a problem with the latest beta, my internet service provider is Vodafone, and uses VLAN 100 for accessing the web, when installing the latest beta, the connection is not made on VLAN 100 and the AC87U starts normally, but do not establish the connection. The latest Asus firmware do not show this problem.

Thanks.

System log active connections showing established connections for devices not even connected to the network, I dont regularly look at this page but cant say I have noticed this before.
