Has anyone had an instance where Trend Micro was not present or would -not- run in this version, or since v386.14 was released on either RT-AC96 or GT=AC2900? Thanks!

Hot swiping is only present in 14_2 firmware. I have also used Asus EOM firmware few weeks ago and had no issues with hot swiping.
Thanks for confirming, that's a shame, so it would seem pretty doubtful that this would be fixed by @RMerlin at some point as this is probably the final firmware as support will be dropped at the end of 2024.

Using "Safely Remove disk" option in the GUI will prevent this issue.

I tried a dirty upgrade on my AC68u to 386.14_2 and subsequently can't connect to the 5Ghz wifi (2.4 is fine). I downgraded back to 386.14 and connectivity to 5GHz is now working again.

Hmmm I was hoping to see someone with the same situation as me but no luck.
I made a dirty update on my AC86U from 386.14_2 to 386.14 and everything was seemed ok but I started to notice some weird lag spike every 10 mins.
I tried to investigate but could not fine anything in the logs and no unusual activity in htop.

I ended up rolling back to 386.14 and everything is bad to normal.

I use Skynet and FlexQoS but the problem was still happening even after disabling them.
I also saw the thread talking about a malware but my WAN access was disabled as well as all the AICloud features.

Anyone having any idea could be the culprit?

Many times doing a full reset after an upgrade will solve unusual problems like this.

With this last version I do not see anymore the Trend Micro in the log. I don't know if it is just a case but for the first time I don't have this annoying log error.

I repeated the dirty upgrade and all is good now.

For the AI Cloud patch - if we don't use it and if we do not have the web UI or SSH exposed to the internet (like we all shouldn't), is there a risk? This seems like an obvious self-answerable question, but I'll ask anyways.

After reverting to 13_2 a couple months back due to oddities, I've bounced back forward to 386.14_2.

Does anyone know if the new SDK this is based on adds better nand flash logging? I now suddenly have a slew of new error and warning but can't believe the upgrade is the cause... pehaps they've been there are are now just logged?

Thoughts?

Did a clean upgrade on both of my AC68U from 386.13 to 386.14_2.

So far everything is solid. Thanks again RMerlin!

After updating from 386.14._2 both 86U main router and 68U mesh one I have those 2 issue
1- let's encript certificate valid until 2024/12/6 marked as valid and not renewd
2- 68u mesh disconnected ( is connect via cable) and need to reboot many time to connect again

Any suggestion?

Thks

I would recommend doing a clean install and hand config everything since you are on such an old version.

I should make capture of each page ?
Something to save before ?
I don't remember exactly which addons or others optimisation made...

Yes. It doesn’t take long. Just screen cap them. If you’re 100% sure you didn’t change from the default, ignore those pages. I name my files in sequence of the LH Menu and sub name by the Tabs.

Nothing else to save ?
For YazDHCP, how to export all fixed adresses ?
Thanks

Not sure about YazDHCP but for my DHCP reservations I use WinSCP to save these three files then copy them back.

If you have custom scripts in amtm that’s another matter. I save whitelisted diversion addresses e.g.

Guys, in January I will change my ac68u v3 permanently, still not sure what I will buy, but it will be something like Mikrotik HAP AX2 up, the wifi part probably acquire some unifi wifi 6 or 7, they are responsible for the wifi connection. Meanwhile, I want to reduce the load on top of ac68u as much as possible.

The wifi part of it I disabled, both 2.4ghz and 5ghz, this function is now in charge of the tp-link ex511, I am using it as an access point. The only function I use of ac68u is the DoT, because I use the dns servers of nextdns, the rest of the functions of ac68u do not matter to me. My internet plan is 800/400mb, but I get 940/940mb, I know this must be a lot for the ac68u, but by cable it should support that speed, right?

What can I do to reduce the cpu load on top of the ac68u as much as possible, what can be disable by ssh? Thank you if you can give me some tips, the ac68u is a good router, but he has already given his maximum, it is time to leave the scene and give way to a newer one. I am currently using merlin 386.14.2
