Anyone know if ASUS is working on any firmware updates for the BE96/98 routers? Been a long time since they posted any on their product pages.

This is great news. BE96U hasn't had a fw update since April!

GT98 has a new firmware, still not on asus site

Do you know also for the RT-BE88U?
Those are all very recent models. There is no reason to believe that Asus aren`t working on them. A large portion of the firmware code is identical through all models, so any work on that will affect every single model.

Updated my B98 no problems so far.. (dont know this QoS si thing).

Asus Website:

New features:
- New "Network" page to consolidate main network and guest network/Smart Home Master for simplified management.

Bug Fixes and Enhancements:
- Improved AiMesh backhaul stability.
- Improved system stability and fixed Smart Home Master GUI issues.
- Optimized memory management mechanisms, improving system efficiency and stability.
- Strengthened input validation and data processing workflows, further protecting your information security.
- Improved web rendering engine, enhancing browsing experience and security.
- Enhanced security of system command processing to guard against potential malicious operations.
- Perfected JavaScript-related security mechanisms, offering a more secure web interaction environment.

I updated to the latest stock firmware from the latest Gnuton Merlin build and my MLO network is goosed again. Just a heads up for anyone updating the firmware. My S24U says it's on MLO but WiFiman only shows it connecting to a single radio, and I've got weird hidden SSID's showing on all radios...

Yeah the MLO is rubbish for me and speeds are alot slower also. I might have to try factory reset and start over.

Looks like Smart Connect has gone, there's now a switch for MLO Front Haul for Clients under the network config for the main SSID now. I'm still only showing connection to a single radio on my S24U (I forgot the network then reconnected as well)

Yeah I have exactly same issue. I might just roll back the firmware as not sure what’s happening. It just doesn’t work.

iPhone 15 pro

Before firmware upgrade. 1400down/1700up
After firmware upgrade. 800down/600up

Intel be200

Before firmware upgrade. 1600down/2000up
After firmware upgrade. 900down/1000up

Yeah, I'm seeing 500ish down on a 900 line, I was seeing the full 900 on the previous firmware too. FFS!

If you look on a WiFi scanner (I use WiFiMan on Android), do you have additional hidden SSID's or additional MAC addresses being shown?

I had that on my old set up initially and had to factory restore and set up afresh to get rid of it.

Yeah I’m just going to roll back to previous firmware as it’s just made everything unusable. All the speeds are terrible and my plan was to keep all 4 of my networks seperate 2.4,5ghz,2nd 5ghz, 6ghz as before and add MLO. If anyone has this actually working as it’s meant to then can they post exactly what they did

Thanks
