This is weird, I've found the issue in the iptables script, and re-uploaded it to the router, now it auto-starts. I've not changed anything else. Whaaaa?
At any rate I've even rebooted the router a few times to make sure it auto-runs. It does so case closed. Thanks again to everyone involved. I couldn't not have done it without your help.
