FlexQoS possibly causing RT-AX86U Pro to become unresponsive?

JT02_2

New Around Here
I bought the RT-AX86U Pro 2 weeks ago and have updated it to the latest Merlin firmware. I mainly game and wasn't having a good experience playing online so decided to see if FlexQoS could improve my experience.

The next day my router became unresponsive at some point, I also noticed my 5g Wi-Fi had also dropped out. I had no access to the GUI, app or SSH (router was unresponsive), I persisted refreshing the page to try get access to the system logs so I could post them here (I'm a complete noob and wouldn't know what to look for myself) and finally got through. I'm not sure what personal information to delete from there so i won't post it yet.

I ended up power cycling and thought it was fixed, but later it happened again so i decided to factory reset via GUI. Something obviously went wrong during this process as after the reboot i was greeted with the login screen (not the initial setting up the router screen) - I couldn't login to the router via the default login credentials supplied, it kept saying incorrect password and eventually locked me out (I have never changed the password). I ended up resetting via WPS + power and possibly another factory reset via GUI and it finally guided me through the initial setup.

The only addons i use are Skynet and FlexQoS so I installed them again, switched off QoS before bed as my partner was having issues with tiktok (I believe some of its traffic goes to "other" and i had configured very low bandwidth there). This morning I switched QoS back on and went into FlexQoS to change bandwidth allocation and the GUI became unresponsive again, with no access to SSH or the app. I had to power cycle again so i could SSH and uninstall FlexQoS. So far i'm able to navigate the GUI without issues so i'm guessing it's something related to it?

I have attached a trimmed log of the leadup to this morning's lock up before i uninstalled FlexQoS. I'll hold off on installing it this weekend to see if it happens again, or if you want me to install it and have some commands to run that may assist getting to the bottom of this let me know.

Leave FlexQoS uninstalled and keep Adaptive QoS enabled. I don’t see anything unusual in your log excerpt. I’d be more inclined to think Skynet deserves a closer look since it does a lot more heavy lifting to download and process IP lists.

Or you have malware on your router. Was AiCloud ever enabled?

Thanks, if it happens again with just Adaptive QoS enabled I will remove Skynet. The USB I'm using was used for Skynet on my RT-AC68U previously, I didn't wipe it before using it on this router. If this is the issue it should lock up again?

AiCloud - I have never enabled any AiCloud features. I had the latest Asus and Merlin firmware file downloaded already before I set up the router. I flashed the latest Asus firmware first not connected to WAN. It was a little buggy so went to the latest Merlin. Did a factory reset etc. after installing it.
