What's the latest for N66 ? There are no files in the Beta or Experimental folders and in the Archives folder, the most recent date stamp is from Jan 18 2016, "380.57.2_HGG-Final".
Should I wait for the latest .4 build ?
would reset to default if using telnet or ssh command. new firmware needs JFFS scriptThose are just two commands to execute from telnet or ssh.
Yes, it is!I'm running merlin's current build, 380.57. Is a full reset necessary?
Read the thread from beginning and you will understand! And: Read this thread - especially the FIRST posting for the link. Also, why does the other poster need to PM hggomes for a link? Is that to get the latest?
Oh, I didn't know that. Well, if I OC my N66U someday, I modify CFE and problem solved, permanent OCwould reset to default if using telnet or ssh command. new firmware needs JFFS script

- There are some reports on the new driver causing issues (unable to connect and disconnects), specially on 2.4GHZ band.
This doesn't affect everyone but it seems reproducible on some specific devices.
If that's the case use old driver instead, it will fix it.

Latest build 380.57.4 is available for most models.
Upgraded an RT-N66U and an RT-AC66U to 380.57.4 and over OpenVPN the connection is easily twice as responsive. That is with the 'N66U being a client and the 'AC66U being a server with the 'AC66U having an ISP level of service of just 2.5(Down)/0.75(Up) Mbps.
Don't know what hggomes did there, but wow. Very impressed.
Amazing FW as always.
2.5(Down)/0.75(Up) Mbps... this is the internet speed that you have? On which country?
And how much it cost per month? That is the ISP speeds my customer has, in Canada.
With these speeds the client should get money from the ISP...And how much it cost per month?

Hi.
This is my first time using any other firmware than the one Asus provide. Is there anything I should do before writing this firmware, or is it just to download and write it?
Is RT-AC66U_380.57.4_HGG-FINAL the one I should use?
Business line is different because is guaranteed and that is more expensive.Around $85, if I remember correctly (that was at least a year ago). This is a 'business' line.

I'm lucky in Romania with the internet, we are in top 5 on internet speed. The infrastructure is quite new.
For 6.5 Eur/month I have 300/100. For 10 Eur I can have 1000/200 but is too much for the devices that I have.
2Mbps I had on 1997 at my first job
Coming back to the firmware, so "a lot of internet" that I couldn't use it well before the discovery of HGG FW
