That might cause problems depending on the particular MoCA adapters you're using. We'll see. But you must only plug the living room MoCA adapter into the Asus router's LAN port (because the VM Hub is in modem mode).

The alternative would be to change the VM Hub back to router mode (with Wi-Fi disabled) and put the Asus in the living room into AP mode. Then it wouldn't matter whether the MoCA adapter was plugged into the Hub or the Asus.

So it would be simpler for me to turn the one Asus in the living room to ap mode and the virgin router back to modem mode and disable WiFi. As the Virgin media TV box needs a coax

How you're using your coax is a completely separate issue and outside my knowledge base as I mentioned in post #4.

Whether you turn the living room Asus into an AP depends on whether you want the VM Hub to be your router or the Asus to be your router. So the question is - does either of those two devices (in router mode) offer you something you want that the other doesn't? For example, the Asus has AiProtection, Parental Controls, QoS, etc.

Nope nothing other than signal strength before I added an ap routers recently.

When you say connect it to the network branch on the Asus, how so? I'm not clued up on all of this. In fact I'm useless I use my hands not my brain lolso I quickly drew this. This is how downstairs is set up

In the drawing the red runs are coax, and the blue and green are Ethernet. A moca filter should be placed before any splitters on the coax to prevent leaking from and onto other moca networks on the isp system.

What is the spec embossed or printed on the COAX ? CT100 ?
What is the brand and model # of the MOCA modems ?
Same question for the Virgin Hub being used ?

MOCA, at least in the US, uses 75 Ohm impedance cabling and termination. Older UK coax installs were usually 50 Ohm if a remember correctly. The two don't mix well.
