New Around Here
Hello,

I got the N65R yesterday and set it up as soon as I got it with latest firmware. The main reason I got a new router is because every devices in my house is wireless and the old router needed to be replaced given the wireless usage.

My brother and I like to stream on twitchtv and given our connection 50/10, we should both be able to stream without an issue because it'd be 2.5mb upload speed for each of us. The thing is I am not sure if this router is capable of handling such a constant rate of upload on 5ghz and on 2.4ghz. My brother had some dropped frames today and his laptop is the 5ghz one, I have since changed a few settings on the router such as preamble type.

I am wondering if anyone recommends me to get a different router or if there are some changes I should really make sure are on?

I am not sure if I shall keep this router but Padavan's Custom Firmware (RT-N65U version) works fine on the 65R since it is the same internals. This makes the 65R a perfectly fine router but I might consider getting a N66U just because of the better range. I still got quite a few more days to consider returning the device and all.
