You can use John's excellent NVRAM utility to preserve your settings.

If you didn't want to backup and restore all your settings you can use the included utility to backup and restore just the DHCP reservations and port forwarding entries as follows:

Backup:
./save-mynvram.sh dhcp_staticlist vts_rulelist

Restore:
./restore-mynvram.sh
nvram commit

Does this still work for firmware 380.68 on up? I'm interesting in having my web history forwarded to a syslog server but think somethings changed.
