I have done several FW updates before, but when trying to upload the newest (.9313) I get the message: "Firmware upgrade unsuccessful. This may result from incorrect image or error transmission. Please check the version of firmware and try again."
I tried several times and as well as with the FW-version on the official site as the one mentioned in the top of this thread.
Any idea?

Just reboot the router and if not enough reset to factory default before upgrading.

Rebooting did the job!
I rebooted the router and immediately after that I uploaded the new FW. All went well. After that I did another reboot.

Since this recent update, my log file has calmed way down. The only things I'm seeing are:

Nov 7 05:35:37 miniupnpd[709]: upnp_event_recv: recv(): Connection reset by peer
Nov 7 05:53:20 kernel: htb: htb qdisc 14: is non-work-conserving?
Nov 7 05:59:57 ntp: start NTP update
Nov 7 06:12:39 miniupnpd[709]: upnp_event_recv: recv(): Connection reset by peer

Nov 7 07:59:57 ntp: start NTP update
Nov 7 08:07:40 miniupnpd[709]: upnp_event_recv: recv(): Connection reset by peer

Does anyone know what the miniupnpd " Connection reset by peer" messages mean? does anything else in this log look amiss?

Thanks!

Berad

check your router temp. On this fw i have 10C lower than earlier
Code:
VANT@RT-AC87U:/tmp/home/root# cat /proc/dmu/temperature
CPU temperature : 64▒C
VANT@RT-AC87U:/tmp/home/root# qcsapi_sockrpc get_temperature
temperature_rfic_external = 0.0
temperature_rfic_internal = 57.6
temperature_bbic_internal = 55.0
VANT@RT-AC87U:/tmp/home/root#

I did not do a reset to defaults after my upgrade and now my ddns and wireless printing are not working.
I will try a reset and reconfigure everything to see if that fixes the issues.

UPDATE:
I know, I know - the golden rule is to ALWAYS reset to factory defaults after any firmware upgrade/change - no matter what.
After I did this - and reconfigured everything - guess what (you already know the answer) - everything is working like it should.

It has been up for about 6 hours now and so far so good !

In the Traffic Analyzer >> App section
the graph data of App is blank.
This is an example

The new app currently appears not to work on Android Marsh mellow devices, fix due soon apparently.

That app is pretty slick. There's a surprising amount of data on there I hadn't expected.

This router is finally starting to hit its potential, if only we can get MU-MIMO and the client support to go with it.

MU-MIMO is already being tested. There had been some betas including it, so we will see it soon

You have 2 choices:

1) Unplug all USB devices & reboot.
2) Run the following via telnet/SSH & reboot:

Code:
nvram set drop_caches=1
nvram commit

It was blank at first for me too, then I clicked on apps and back to router and it popultated. Still, I think have introduced a bug.
My case I have to wait a couple of seconds to be populated the Traffic Analyzer
