New Around Here
Hi,

I would like to implement parental control on my home network on an Asus RT-AC68U router, running Asuswrt-Merlin version 380.58. I would like to set a user daily internet access time in a defined interval time as follow:

1. Set a daily interval time … example: Monday 06 to 20:00; Tuesday 06 to 20:00 … Sunday 06 to 22:00. Note, this option is available.

2. Set access time: total amount of time a user can access the internet in the defined interval time … example: Monday 2 Hours, Tuesday 2 Hours … Sunday 3 Hours.

3. Exceptions: services a use can access beyond the defined interval time and/or access time.

Any idea how to implement access time and exceptions?

Thank you!

Hi,

Thank you!

An half hour increment would be great like on other routers such as TP-Link or D-Link. This is terribly missing on the rt-ac68u.

2. Set access time: total amount of time a user can access the internet in the defined interval time … example: Monday 2 Hours, Tuesday 2 Hours … Sunday 3 Hours.

That would be absolutely GREAT ! I wonder if this feature is present in any current routers.

3. Exceptions: services a use can access beyond the defined interval time and/or access time.

This is another feature that is terribly missing on the rt-ac68u. With a TP-Link, I was able to restrict access for a single webpage like for Wikipedia or to simply deny Facebook.

Would be great if someone would be able to work it out.

Thanks in advance :)

I agree I would really like to see a max usage limit that can be defined inside an approved time window.

I would like to expand on this by being able to group a couple of devices and put the restriction on the device. My daughter has a laptop and iPad, so I would like to restrict HER to 2-3 hours regardless of which device she uses.
