I have some problems with my AC68U and USB and would like to listen to your experience.
1) do you use USB HDD without external power (powered from router usb ports) or with external power (external power adapter)?
2) do you use it for optware, if yes which FS do you use? ext2 ext3 or ext4?
3) if you use optware with ext FS does it correctly unmounts and mounts when rebooted? Or you manually unmount it before rebooting?
4) if you use ext2 or ext3 is it automounted after reboot as ext2 or as ext4 if you leave usb hdd plugged in while rebooting?
5) if you use ext FS do you use it with label or it just mounted as sda1 or sdb1?
6) do you plug your HDD in USB 2.0 port or USB 3.0 port?
7) do you turn off usb 3.0 2.4ghz interference when you plug hdd in USB 3.0 port? Have you noticed any difference?
8) do you turn off usb 3.0 2.4ghz interference when you plug hdd in USB 2.0 port? Have you noticed any difference?

Thanks.

1) I use USB HDD without external power (powered from router usb ports) (wd black 2Tb)
....
6) I plug the HDD in USB 3.0 port
7) I turned off usb 3.0 2.4ghz interference when you plug hdd in USB 3.0 port. The copy speed has increased from ~20MB/sec to ~40MB/sec in both directions PC->USB hdd and USB hdd->PC
8) I turned off usb 3.0 2.4ghz interference when you plug hdd in USB 2.0 port. I use usb2.0 port for a shared printer. Nothing special noticed.

I never unplug, hdd is 3.0 but formatted HFS+. However I've gotten multiple hdd corruptions because of the router messing up the drive indexes or something - DiskWarrior has saved me more than once

Hi,
What is output current rating on AC power adopter? Netgear R7000 is rated at 3.5 Amp.

Have you disabled interference option?
