Really great to hear! I'm most excited about the revamped qos system. I'm need QoS more and more these days, and the current solution isn't really cutting it for me. My main hope is that they don't mess with the stability. IMHO, it took them a LONG time to get the AC68U to the point where it was finally flawless and stable. Only the most recent firmware got rid of the reboots. I hope their QA is a bit better this time around, so us paying customers don't feel like beta testers (again).

Reboot problem was from Broadcom SDK, not ASUS.

Is there any news about development of the Download Master?

It is really sub-standard compared to the third party downloaders available on custom firmwares.

1. The javascript that runs on that page (e.g. dm_function.js/dm_add_status()) is not production quality at all.

2. It is possible to confuse it by pasting a local link into the URL box.

3. This results in the HDD corrupting, and the Download Master claiming files already exist while the download queue is empty.

4. It can also result in a 100% CPU usage loop, which can result the router not responding to any web requests, hard reset needed to fix it.

The current Asus and your firmware has a WiFi option "Optimized for Xbox". Will future firmwares have an optimization for Xbox One and PlayStation 4??

This option is actually a bugfix, not an optimization. The wifi radio used in the Xbox 360 has a bug that causes major wireless performance issues with Broadcom devices. What this option does is disable LDPC support on the router. This is a type of error correction used on wifi transmission that is incompatible/broken on the Xbox 360's builtin wifi. This issue does not exist with other consoles.

I gotcha.

Thanks dude.

Well I tried it, and while some liked it, others lynched me for it LOL!

Quite honestly, the Asuswrt UI is already a bit heavy, making it react a bit slowly. Too many images for instance. Thankfully enabling caching for these helped quite a bit, and Asus has also integrated that a few revisions ago.

When it comes to management interfaces, the simpler is the better. Personally, I kinda liked the interface on the WRT1900AC, aside from a few quirks here and there.
The GUI is a bit tacky, too much gloss and gloq and blue with black looks like a linux hackers desktop setup. I would prefer something a bit more googlish, simple and flat

That's true, but Asus uses same dark theme on their motherboard BIOS. Would like to see a lighter theme.

As well as, have small FAQ for all settings and not just most of them when you see a question mark as you hover over it. And have the FAQ written in lamen turns, instead of technical terms that most users don't understand.

I suggest migrating to transmission if you don't need usenet and edonkey..
