I am having trouble getting the adaptive qos working right. Till now I have just had it on media streaming mode which puts web surfing down in about 4th place down. Using the Webb has been a bit slow lately so I tried putting it on custom setting leaving video streaming on top and Webb surfing 2nd and hit apply . Trouble is when I navigate away from the qos page and then go back to it to check it is all back to the way it was eg media streaming mode. What am I missing? Help !!! Please

Asus's implementation of QoS is broken for years. See also FreshJR's script with more information on adaptive QoS and its issues.

Asus' QoS may be "broken" in the sense that it isn't very effective, but that's not the question you were asking AFAICT.

I believe you were asking why changes you made in the GUI weren't be saved. Correct?

Yes you are spot on Colin. I probably should have worded it as simply and succinctly as that but yes changes I make in the GUI are not saved. Am I doing something wrong or is that broken also?

If it doesn't save, use a different web browser, or clear the cache of your current browser.

How will that help keep the changes made to qos ? I don't have any problems with other changes being saved e.g. using and changing VPN locations or going from automatic to manual using DNS servers, just to name a couple but I will try your suggestions

Oh crap I knew it would be something simple that I missed. I cleared the cache and tried again but it still would not stick then I realized all I was hitting was the,, save,, button but not going back and hitting the ,, apply,, button. I really must stop smoking those funny cigarettes my wife gives me I don't think they are kosher
