Thanks RMerlin! AsusWRT-Merlin is just awesome.

There's one difference in behavior with 380.68 that I'm curious whether it's an intentional change or not. When "Enable Dual WAN" is set to OFF and "Primary WAN" is set to USB, in previous versions the "Internet Connection" tab would change to the "USB Modem/USB Tethering" setup page. Now I'm seeing the "WAN-Internet Connection" setup page there. The only way I can get to the USB Modem page is by going to the "USB Application" section then selecting "3G/4G" -- which changes the "Internet Connection" tab one time only. If I navigate away and come back the tab reverts to WAN settings. I did a reset to factory defaults and flushed my Chrome browser cache with no change.

Your great work is much appreciated.

Just upgraded to this firmware everything is running great no issues.

Hi - new member and I have recently purchased an RT-1900P. I installed Merlin v380.67 without an issue but cannot install v380.68. I get a message that Asus has not approved this firmware. Has anyone else had this issue? Thanks in advance for an answer.

To comply with regulatory amendments, we have modified our certification rule to ensure better firmware quality. This version is not compatible with all previously released ASUS firmware and uncertified third party firmware. Please check our official websites for the certified firmware.

Just chiming in to bump that post #42. It seems rather like important issue: https://www.snbforums.com/threads/r...-380-68-is-available.40761/page-3#post-342683

Hello - I see you have the RT-AC1900P. I have the same device and cannot load the latest firmware. (v.380.68) - I get a message stating it is invalid firmware. Did you have this issue? If so, how did you work around it to install 380.68? Thank you.

Thanks Sanna1967! :)

forked-daapd instead of the old mt-daapd (but I see it requires a lot of libs)

Too many dependencies, and not something I want to devote any effort to as it's based on old proprietary technology. DLNA is the way to go.

Dnsmasq 2.77

Too buggy.

NAT Loopback working

Works for me.

Updated vi editor

It's not vi, it's a clone that's provided by Busybox. If you need something more complete, nano is the one that I support and maintain.

Just updated to latest on my RT-AC68U and noticed that the clients list is showing some as Manual and others and Static, but all are allocated by DHCP and are manually assigned.

That's because clients haven't all renewed their leases, so the router has no way of knowing if their IP are static or old leases. Give it a day or two.

Super interested in checking out new dhcp lease log format.

I only changed the table generation to use the tableAPI instead of self-made code. Visually it's almost identical, except you can now sort the columns.

1 The NTP server setting accepted a comma-space separated list of servers before. Now only one.

Nothing was changed there. My guess is it never worked at all, and the router simply switched to the secondary ntp1 server without you noticing.

The firewall-start script runs twice after reboot. Gives me a lot of duplicates in iptables.

Scripts are event-based, not time-based. If a service start requires a firewall restart, then the script will get re-run. If you do anything but modify the filter table with it, then it's up to the script author to ensure that he can handle multiple executions.

I upgraded my AC68U, after reboot the network works fine - but I can't access the web administration page. It goes into an endless loop of reloading the page:

Try a different browser, and also make sure you use the IP instead of a hostname. HTTPS support has always been quirky, and I can't track down the cause. Some browsers work better than others.

No device can connect to 5ghz wifi (RT-AC88U).

There's been absolutely zero change to the wireless driver or code for the RT-AC88U over 380.67.

Well I'm not sure if it's because of my special setup or added security measures by Asus or Merlin but back in the days of 378.57 I could reach my routers login page by it's WAN address.

Asuswrt used to bind to every interface back then, which was a security issue. Now only the specified interfaces are bound to, so you won't be able to access the webui by its WAN IP/hostname unless you configure the router to accept WAN connections.

Great Firmware Merlin. Thank you for all the wonderful work that you have been doing.

I have implemented QoS on a per device basis. While I am able to view the bandwidth and data for all the devices connected, I am unable to see the bandwidth consumed by the download manager. Would you have any advice on how that can also be tracked.

Thanks,

I doubt that QoS applies to services running on the router itself, as the rules are configured between the LAN bridge (br0) and the WAN.

Make sure you have the correct firmware version. My firmware has the proper header signature so it should be accepted by the stock firmware.

I know there hasnt been a change to the WIFI, it just failed to start up the 5ghz channel.

I rebooted afew times (once with power taken out) & its kicked it back into life.

The response from Merlin re: the Invalid Firmware issue I encountered.

"Make sure you have the correct firmware version. My firmware has the proper header signature so it should be accepted by the stock firmware."

Merlin - That was the issue. I had downloaded the wrong version. Many thanks for your support and your firmware. I'll continue to use your product and I will make a donation to support your efforts.

I have this router and installed 380.68 yesterday no problem.

Update: 8/20/17 10:50 PM EST: This no longer is an issue. It suddenly started appearing properly.

Upgraded all 3 of my routers. Did the shift-reload and tested against Chrome, IE11, and Firefox same result. System status has a weird inner frame scroll box. My resolution is 1080p on a 24" monitor.

Just upgraded from 67 - 68 on my AC1900P which I use primarily for my IoT. I had the problem with Astrill VPN that when the router restarted in V67 the router said VPN was up and then routed IoT clients through a dead tunnel. Didn't know until all my IoT devices started sending me texts and e-mails that they were not connected. I have the router set not to block if VPN goes down trying to avoid this issue. V68 seems to have fixed the problem for Astrill as well as Strong.

One issue/bug/ inconsistency I did notice in V68 is on the Network Map page is shows that LAN Port 4 is connected at 100 Mpps to my garage controller. On the tools page is shows that LAN Port 4 is connected at 10 Mbps half duplex. The 10 Mbps half duplex is what I was seeing in previous versions.

All in all very nice!. Great job! Thank you.

Working fine on my AC3100. Still have the issue only once in awhile though were logging in to the UI it shows the memory graph as pegged and the UI is unresponsive. I have to close Chrome and log in again. And yes i have cleared all cookies and Contol + F5. Certainly not a deal breaker.

Hello.

Thanks again to Merlin for another great release.

On my 2 X RT-AC87U routers I upgraded from 380.67 to 380.68 about 8 hours ago.

Everything seems OK except I've been noticing that in my system log it is getting flooded with DHCP entries like this:

Any idea why I'm seeing so much of this in my logs? It doesn't seem to be hurting anything but it does make reading the log difficult.

Thanks!

QOS on per device basis mean some device have QOS other device do not? How
