Quite surprising, a CAT5E on a 2.5GBIT switch?
I remember other users mention GT-AC5300 inbox CAT6 cable, not CAT5E.
I know the chip supports 2.5gb but does the rest of the device?? That would be great news..

As expected, try the same test on other WNIC client computer, probably you will get different results.Ok RT-AC5300 LAN - File Transfer Speed 1GIG LAN - 69GB File - So i guess Wifi is limited to UNDER 50MB/s. I have to TEST GT-AC5300 now to see how it stacks up against RT-AC5300

Uh, no.
The GT-AC5300 is Gigabit, based on Asus's specification sheet.
God damn it the network still crashes... just so happened right as I got a massage kill streak I'm overwatch lol
You might be having a overheat problem. I would try to put a 120mm or 80mm fan on it and see if that helps.
Does anyone have the tear down picture of the hardware? Is there is built in fan in the router?
Is SMB going to do a review for GT-AC5300? It seems like ASUS is not promoting this product as they should as a flag ship router.......
Disable Air Time Fairness option under Professional tab.
Try also Beamforming.
