RT-AC68P QOS questions.

I asked Asus, and they confirmed that the RT-AC68P uses the exact same firmware as the RT-AC68U. So people can safely flash either my firmware, or Asus's RT-AC68U firmware.

I will be labeling 376.48 as officially supporting the RT-AC68P.

So I can confirm Merlin build Fw 376.47 works on the AC68P. The only thing is that I am still having issues with QOS. With out QOS 324 down 24 up, as soon as I turn on QOS 224 down and the up load speed stays the same 24 up.

I find it very weird that with the AC68R and this FW 376.47, I could use QOS and get the right speeds 324 down 24 up. For now I will leave QOS off and see how everything runs tonight when everyone is home and on there devices.

Question for you Merlin, Do you know if they will bring the adaptive QOS that the AC87R has to this new AC68P, is it compatable since this has the same chip as that router???

Thanks for your help.

@pinkfloyd1173, did you trying flashing Merlin's FW? I too am considering an AC68P and would like to know if QOS works properly with it. I work from home and have to give my work laptop and IP phone highest priority at all times

Well QOS does not work with Merlins Fw, like it use to with the AC68R????

I am at a loss.

Last I heard, adding Adaptive QoS was planned to happen before the end of the year, for the RT-AC56 and RT-AC68. That will be with the 3.0.0.4.378.xxx firmware.

Probably something different in your configuration, there's no reason why it would behave any differently.

I dont think so Merlin, I take took pictures of of how I set up the router, I know its weird but I do this, in case I have to redo the settings again. I dont know, I have triple checked every thing and it still will not work??? Its funny cause the AC68r and the AC87R I had no issues with the QOS, and I was running your firmware.
