Something else I've notice, my wlan , when connecting my xz premium, and set up static setting into phone, (before that in manual assignment into the router) i can't connect, only on phone dhcp must be enabled, with other networks I've not such problem, the other thing is every time i turn off/on wifi slider, must enter again the wlan name and pass, because its hidden.
The WLANS guest networks are not visible not with android phones or apple.. pffffff crap

I've been up almost 18 days now and when I checked my syslogs today there was an explosion of entries that did not exist the last time I checked including entries from months past that suddenly appeared even though I've cleared the log just before I disabled the reboot scheduler.

Greetings forum contributors - registered to thank you all. This post helped me big time fixing issue on my Asus router running firmware 3.0.0.4.382.18991.

Had most of the issues mentioned throughout the posts; losing WAN port to my ISP, Wi-Fi performance/range issues with signal cutting (losing SSIDs/wireless radios resetting), unresponsive GUI - all requiring several daily reboots of the router to get it back working only for a few hours...

Updated to latest firmware just before Christmas; what a bad idea. I was losing my Sonos speakers randomly every hour or so, not able to stream on TV for more than 30 minutes... My kids and visiting friends were getting frustrated as access to the Internet was cutting off all the time.

Rolled back to 3.0.0.4.380.7743 and router has been rock solid for 2 days now - very happy I found this thread!

Thanks again for sharing & happy New Year to everybody - I wish you all stable routers! :)

I want to see that 20 + active torrents in state of downloading nearly your cpu is zero you're on isdn ?If you speed is <1 Mbps maybe i agree. Post some screenshots! I don't believe that! And anyone here too imho!

I took the caps off DL and UL speeds. With three active DLs totalling ~10 MBytes/s and ~20 active ULs totalling 0.9 MBytes/s (I have a 250/12 cable plan), Core 1 hovers between 15-20%. Core 2 is 0%.

Today I disabled "Airtime Fairness" setting on 2.4GHz and 5GHz band, and all of a sudden my casting devices work perfectly well.
So if you are using Sonos or Chromecast devices make sure to disable "Airtime fairness" to avoid connectivity issues.
Else this Asus router firmware is still unreliable, because of random wireless droping.

So far: Wireless drops, devices can't see networks on both bands, random disconnects//
