Release RT-BE92U Firmware Firmware version 3.0.0.6_102_37523-g25e34fa_1096-gff526 03/27/2025

updated, and everything is working as expected. This router hasn't given me much trouble after the first few initial updates, and even then, nothing show stopping.
Also per Asus instructions, I let the online progress bar complete and load to the login screen, then switched the router off by the power button, waited about a minute and powered back on. Came up without issues.

I see the link.

However, my router checking from the app says the firmware is up to date.

If I download the zip file, it's broken/corrupt.

Not sure how you got this to work.

I simply updated in the Router's UI. The info I posted was from within the UI, and then I copied the support link from the Router's UI as well. I wonder if it's an isolated issue in your situation. You're the first to report the issue since I posted the thread.

Did you try power cycling your router, and then trying the update again from within the UI under firmware update?

I will try power cycling.

Still wonder about the posted zip file though.
Well, the link I posted is Asus official site, so maybe it's something on their end. Typically, I don't download the firmware when updating from the site. I let it update from within the router as I usually don't have problems.

Very strange.

I just power cycled the route, which btw I just received yesterday. Still no joy.

This is what I get:

I'd like to install this because this thing was extremely unstable when I was working with it yesterday.

I'm only using it in AP mode and with the 5 & 6 bands enable in WiFi 7 mode, it was rebooting every 20 min or so.

Right now I have those two band disabled, so only the 2.4 up.

Not very usable at the moment.

Well, I took a screenshot of my router's page. I have seen the error occasionally about not being able to connect, but it usually goes away after a few hours.

SHA is correct, but zip file cannot be unzipped. Online check fails, cannot contact ASUS.
No way to upgrade my router!

This might be a good time for you, and the others having issues to contact Asus in the feedback assistant part of the router, and let them know about the issues with the update.

I did, open a compliant
Hopefully it gets resolved soon. I saw the RT-86U new release thread and checked for one on this router as well, and for me, it updated as normal without issues. So, it's hard to say where the issue is. I haven't updated my 86U yet. Don't need to use it right now.

The downloaded file is still corrupt by the way

This is ridiculous. Hard to imagine why Asus cannot store a firmware image properly for a router that actually needs the stability update.

I wonder what made the difference for me vs everyone else here? I had a successful update, while no one else seems to have. Like I said though, I didn't download the zip, I updated directly in the UI of the router.
