RT-N66U behavior with 374.40

I have never seen this behavior with any revious version of firmware, but it now happens consistently with 374.40.

If my cable modem (Moto SB6120) is restarted, clients begin to prompt for authentication to the Asus router, as if the proxy connections are being interpreted as connections to the admin console for the router. Other applications connecting on other ports (such as IM or email clients) are fine. Only browser traffic exhibits this behavior.

The only way to correct the issue is to reboot the router. Any thoughts?

When WAN goes down, Asuswrt redirects connection attempts to its internal server. This has always been working this way, and normally it should return to normal after WAN functionality gets restored.

Problem is that it doesn't return to normal without a reboot, which as far as I can tell is new with .40, or some combination of things is new since upgrading to .40.

Working fine for me. Are there any clues in your syslog?

Code:
Apr 12 13:15:30 WAN Connection: Ethernet link down.
Apr 12 13:15:30 stop_nat_rules: apply the redirect_rules!
<blah>

Apr 12 13:24:14 WAN Connection: Ethernet link up.
<blah>
<blah>
Apr 12 13:24:20 start_nat_rules: apply the nat_rules(/tmp/nat_rules_eth0_eth0)!
<blah>

Apr 12 13:24:20 WAN Connection: WAN was restored.
