How is the wifi range on both bands? Is it finally fixed and better then .276?
You want it even better than with 3.0.0.4.276?How is the wifi range on both bands? Is it finally fixed and better then .276?

For me range was never an issue with version 3.0.0.4.270 and up. For me connection issues where the problem from versions beyond 3.0.0.4.276.
I stepped back in with version 3.0.0.4.374.720 which solved the 5 GHz issues.
Rmerlin this forums owner has a build called 39.0-em even stronger comparable to the ac68 wifi strength.

270, 271, 276 where indeed the winners for long time for both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz.What were the 5GHz issues? I never had any.
After .276 my 2.4 GHz band went bad very short distance.
.270, .271 and .276 have the best for me as far as 2.4 GHz band distance.
Does the newest firmware allows the setting for the ISP to Normal instead of Aggressive ? I had the N66 about a year ago and it constantly disconnected from the ISP so I sold it. I don't recall if the firmware had that option at that time. Maybe getting another one at some point.

Anyone else seeing really bizarre daily traffic numbers with the new version?
My router is telling me yesterday I transferred 183GB of data... which isn't even possible on my connection in 24 hours.
Known issue (use search).

I think RMerlin's firmware is affected too: it's Asus' code, after all.
Rmerlin fixed everything that was wrong with asus firmware they probably will hire him as senior software developer soon for all there products to work to 100% perfection only question is can they afford him?
