Strange issue with 2.4GHz wifi on RT-AC86U

I have the same problem 2.4ghz shows but nothing connects to it. When it does It keeps dropping.

yeah, for me it starts happening like after 2-3 weeks, then i need to reboot, only for 2.4 stability

i'm really interested in that script for the nodes , the one from @TheMorpN

AC86U is known for failing 2.4GHz radio. Test if the issue is present in stand alone mode running stock Asuswrt.

my nodes are running indeed stock, nodes are ac-86u, main router is ac-88u, running merlin

but if its known, is it a hardware or software issue?
the script the reboot nodes should help, like once a week

Who knows, maybe both, maybe case by case differences. I never had the temp issues, which some blame, but my 2.4ghz went unreliable, but it was the 386 codebase that finally forced the issue on my router.
