Exactly, think you could flash a different bootloader but that with the warranty issues out me off.I am not sure, about the wifi, the bootloader has settings for USA, not for Europe.

I'm no experts so can't answer that. Perhaps a real expert can.I don't know if we can flash a different bootloader, but if we can, if I flash bootloader from 68U, the processor will be underclocked, right ?

Thanks wocram, good to know.US router's WLAN will most certainly work in Europe, the 802.11 channel frequencies are standardized;

There are only different regulations regarding the use of the channels, frequencies are standard.
I am using a from US imported (by a friend) Asus RT-AC1900P on Bali (Indonesia) without any issues.
Let us know how you get on with it please.I thinks I will import AC1900P in France.
