CakeQOS WAN packet overhead

I have a doubt about the value I should set on WAN packet overhead.

I have an FTTC 200/20. My Asus RT-AC86U is connected to the modem (LAN 1 to WAN) provided by my ISP. On the modem provided by my ISP I have this:

    VDSL Training Status:   Showtime
                    Mode:   VDSL2 Annex B
            VDSL Profile:   Profile BrcmPriv1
            Traffic Type:   PTM Mode
             Link Uptime:   2 days: 22 hours: 45 minutes

Hi iManuB,

I'm also using CakeQoS and am connected to a Fibre VDSL2 modem, it's using WAN Connection Type of PPPoE. Your WAN Connection Type should be shown first thing when you click WAN tab.
Since I have PPPoE VDSL2 connection, I use "WAN packet overhead: 30, MPU: 0, Mode: Normal", (if you use router to connect to TV VLAN add 4 to overhead).
Click the red down arrow and select a preset, or if really unsure use the "Conservative option".

May have to do some bufferbloat testing yourself to find your ideal values.

I had already downloaded the GUI. Very comfortable!
I connect to the TV via Wi-Fi. I leave 30 - MPU: 0, Mode: Normal?

If you believe those to be the correct values for your connection. Everyone's setup can be different.

In amtm you can check your Cake status and dropped packets with: "cake_qos status download" and "cake_qos status upload", (you can see dropped packets in the added Cake GUI script page too).
I usually drop less than 1% of total packets using CakeQoS, if you're dropping a larger % of your total packets you may need to lower your Download or Upload value.

You can try testing your bufferbloat:
Good ol speed test, has bufferbloat analysis: https://www.dslreports.com/speedtest
Newer bufferbloat test: https://www.waveform.com/tools/bufferbloat
Found this one, it's interesting (and helps test 300 pings a second! lol): https://packetlosstest.com/

Another aspect is just your overall network feel.
If your network always feels responsive on all your different devices, without many long delays or noticeable repetitive drops in streaming video/audio/gaming, than your values should be alright.
Again, test for your setup, and use the "Conservative option" if really unsure.

Here is a Screen of my Settings:

Feels very good and snappy but il try your 30 - MPU: 0, Mode: Normal for a while now
