    What does the router say your WAN IP is? Just to be really sure, you have your router WAN port connected to your ATT gateway? Can you access other .gov websites?

    bennor, I'm confused by this. If you put the GW in passthru then you are removing the GW and not the ASUS router. He did say he already bypassed the router and connected directly to the GW.

    Does Merlin have GN Pro on the AX88U Pro? BTW, @curlyimac , for future reference, there is no "2.5" GHz band - it is 2.4 GHz.

    Like Tech9 said, try it out first as-is if it is already working for you. You can always get in the Nest later if you think it will solve your networking problems, right? (And would you be renting that Nest?)

    Pro gives you a newer platform = longer time before EoL, and it gives you VLAN configuration. Hardware specs can be found online. (FW 3.0.0.6 has network templates to help config new networks; don't know if 3.0.0.4 has the same.)

    AT&T fiber with home phone service?

    Follow-up: The RG has a dedicated phone system connection built into it. The tech plugged the house phone system into it (just like the old modem was) and it worked. No changes or special config needed.

    Nope. I turned off the BGW's Wi-Fi. I tested once from my ASUS guest Wi-Fi and it seemed to work the way I needed.

    IoT VLAN

    I'm not sure where you are seeing these clients. But clients tend to remain shown for a while and sometimes not show; known issue. There is a way on the CLI to clear up the list, but I'd just ignore it for now.

    Look in the "Advanced Settings" of the network. If the IP address is different from your main network, then you did indeed disable "same subnet as main". Also, if you didn't do that, the title of the network would say "(Main Subnet)".

    I don't know what this means. Otherwise, that is it. You can look at the network details or the summary info to see that you created a VLAN.

    Be careful with your Bs and bs ;). Model? Firmware? You can try a new cable. Sounds bug-ish to me. Try a reboot.
