    Media Bridge Performance

    In Repeater mode, I can also connect wired devices to the router. So in my case, it is a much better option compared to Bridge mode but I will continue to test it over the weekend.

    WOW - Freaking AVG Antivirus...What a piece of crap. Or may it is a combination of Win8.1/IE11 and AVG. Virus REMOVED (hmmm...I meant AVG) My issues were similar with slow loading, locking, freezing, etc. and maybe at some points, it was part of my internet disconnect too.

    Media Bridge worth an extra purchase?

    It's a known issue. Router/Media Bridge stop routing traffic every day or two and require reboots. Asus seems to acknowledge the issue but I am not sure at this point they can fix it. It has been several months now and the temporary solution is to use it in the Repeater Mode.

    RT-AC66 x 2 don't work well with media bridge mode at the moment. If you must, you should get a RT-AC68 and set it up as Router and use your existing RT-AC66 media bridge.

    RT-AC66U Media Bridge issue

    Media Bridge mode is not stable at the moment. It will likely stop routing traffic within 48 hrs and require a reboot.
