No, it's not. It's simply because I needed to dogfood 3006, due to the high complexity of integrating SDN and Guest Network Pro into Asuswrt-Merlin.The fact Merlin has now abandoned the 16000 as his everyday router is also a bad sign.

You re not alone... it's the same shame with all Asus top model... Asus release hardware more faster than firmware... GT-BE98 Pro was released too fast with a buggy firmware has hell and only one patch has been released 8 months later... since may nothing again And now AFC will maybe never come to first hw revision because of missing sensor....So what should I say? The official support for the GT-AXE16000 Asus is pathetic.
Last firmware release: 2023.12.18 3.0.04.388_24329
Last beta release: 2023.03.21 9.0.0.6.102.4856
The GT-AXE16000 is the top model of WiFi 6E, slowly without official support. This is not good
And based on this, there definitely won’t be a Merlin 3006 for about a year
Last night after returning from extended vacation, I installed the updated alpha1 (i.e., 3006_102.2_alpha1-g6d259892ed). The OpenVPN issue that I had with the previous alpha1 has been resolved (or my installation of the previous alpha1 had a glitch). No issues so far with the newer firmware.I briefly installed 3006_102.2_alpha1 on my GT-BE98 Pro last evening. Unfortunately, I was unable to connect to the network using OpenVPN. Since I didn't have enough time to debug (headed out on vacation), I had to revert to 3006_102.1 for the time being — OpenVPN connects again without issue from MacBook Pro client, Android client, and remote network.
I fully understand that alphas are unsupported, but I wanted to throw this out there to see if others had the same issue (and possibly might suggest solution or work-around).
Disable smartconnect?I have a weird bug on the Wireless -> General tab where it's missing the Wifi Channel & bandwidth sections at the bottom for each band. Don't think it's directly related to the latest alpha build as it happened intermittently on the last merlin 101 stable FW, but now it won't show up at all. I've done multiple router reboots, browser page hard reload, cleared cache/cookies, logged out/in but it's just missing, and is preventing me from changing channels / bandwidth settings

Using Smart connect is required to use MLO which I'm using, so not an ideal optionDisable smartconnect?
They both expose a unique SSID, with the router handling band steering. Main difference is MLO can use multiple bands at the same time.Do Smart connect and MLO not contradict each other. The first trying to give the best connection to a client on one bandwidth and the second trying to give more connections with different bandwidths to a client?
Some context for/on these new 3006.102.2 Alpha1 builds RMerlin announced yesterday afternoon in another discussion topic.New builds, se top post.
Since updated 3006 GPLs are constantly being delayed, I decided to go ahead and release 3006.102.2 based on the existing GPLs. For the RT-BE88U and RT-BE86U this means they will both be released based on different GPLs from the rest (3006.102.33921 for the RT-BE88U, and 3006.102.36216 for the RT-BE86U).
Neither of these are compatible with the 34369 binary blobs, so other Wifi 7 models will remain on 34369, until there are updated 3006 GPLs for them (which hopefully would be for 3006.102.3).
There's a pull request that I submitted to the Scribe GitHub repository more than a month ago which includes a fix to be able to install the script on the 3006.102.x F/W versions.... Scribe needs a patch or a proper update to work on this generation of firmwares I heard...

Yes. There are updates to a number of Add-On scripts that had issues introduced by recent Asus-Merlin firmware's. See the Add-On subforum for more on those addon script updates. Most if not all the affected addon scripts have been updated to fix those issues. Certain scripts, as @Martinski indicated may need to be manually updated.Skynet and Diversion with ScMerlin. Has been installed and working for me since you introduced the fix... Thanks! There's a pull request that I submitted to the Scribe GitHub repository more than a month ago which includes a fix to be able to install the script on the 3006.102.x F/W versions.
If you want to try this modified version (v3.2.1), here are the commands to download & install it:
Bash:curl -LSs --retry 4 --retry-delay 5 --retry-connrefused \ https://raw.githubusercontent.com/cynicastic/scribe/fadcc527ec832d224dbc961023f6819b41b373a2/scribe \ -o /jffs/scripts/scribe && chmod a+x /jffs/scripts/scribe && /jffs/scripts/scribe install
FYI.
Thanks! Up and running. I hope it gets integrated into the normal build one day. There's a pull request that I submitted to the Scribe GitHub repository more than a month ago which includes a fix to be able to install the script on the 3006.102.x F/W versions.

Yeah. Scrolled by that a day. But with what I normally use only Scribe lacks an official fix via AMTM. Or at least I haven't discovered more issues yet.Yes.
