Trend Micro published a new Knowledge Base article that targets more specifically their protection suite used in routers like Asus. The URL is now used in newer firmware releases.

https://esupport.trendmicro.com/en-us/home/pages/technical-support/1120473.aspx

Not a lot of details, as the article is generic enough that it refers you to your manufacturer as to how to disable specific features. But it should at least provide more concrete information as to what is being sent to their servers.

Good to know.

How can I obtain a latest list of all domains that are used to upload data collected by Trend Micro ?

Is there a way to observe it somehow in the router?

What would be the point of the exercise?

If you block anything TrendMicro and all its components will stop working.

If you don't want anything shared you turn off TrendMicro and decline the privacy statement.

TM collects less information than your browser gives away ......

Can't be done , if you block the 2 way data flow with TM none of the dependant services will work.

Really? explain why I need to share anything with Trend Micro when turn on fq_codel? There's no reason for it. Quit defending something you don't understand.

Deep packet inspection is handled by Trend Micro most of the addons are in fact designed by them for these routers. If you want to use the product they need your metadata from using it to further develop the software. It's safe to take off the tin foil hat my friend. Security is a multi level idea.

Nonsense , what is very clear is that you yourself don't understand how or why this works the way it does.

You would do well to read the AiProtection/TM Faq's and all the previous posts/threads on this site.

The system has been clearly explained.

And exactly this system is wrong!
They outsource services because they get it for free from TM while paying for the services with our data.

Wrong. It's called added value, TM gets your usage stats to improve the blocking etc. How else would it get it's info. Skynet uses firehol, do you suspect them as well?

Which blocking???
Here we are speaking only about Qos and fq_codel, not Aiprotection or something else where it is clear they need some data to fulfill the service.

How do you think it classifies traffic so well, it would need examples of new traffic to do that and stay current, thus the updates to the signatures which also update the QOS traffic classifications.

For this case they would need only these examples and not the complete traffic all the year, there are other better resolutions for that.

Then go and use those other solutions and stop beating the dead horse complaining about TM providing a free DPI engine

This has been debated to death in other threads, keep your tinfoil hat if you want.

Maybe that "someone" still needs to support them for others whom "someone" recommended these routers before they went worse?

I wonder you will ask this same question again and again, no learning curve.
