I’ve heard a few odd reports of AX86U users having unique issues. No idea where they come from, though. Is LAN to LAN throughput fine if you use Adaptive QoS or no QoS?
Adaptive QOS doesn't slow down the LAN to LAN transfers, but traditional and Cake does. The problem with adaptive QOS is that I don't want to use sign up with TrendMicro.

I wonder if it has something to do with the fact that the ax86u has a dedicated "gaming port" assigned to LAN port 1?

Thank to new Alpha build!

Console debug log output seem gone

Just tested and seems working just fine.
I only found few GUI thing.
All other things seem fixed.

It's not there.

RMerlin doesn't currently have the GPL code needed for all models yet.

Test the alpha 2 (v3) on ax88u.
"/jffs/configs/shadow.add" doesn't get imported to the "/ etc/shadow" in this version.

And the new wsdd2 apparently has some compatibility issues, at least in my case. It keeps disappearing from "Network" in windows. (Restart the wsdd2, it re-appears, but after a while, it disappears again). Using the old wsdd2 blob from 386.3 is all good. So maybe it has some issues dealing with extra interfaces or VLANs or whatever.

I call it "pounding code into submission through the application of debugging output carpet bombing".

This method of debugging is used by me really very often too ... carpet bombing :D:D:D:D.

Can I use this name freely, or you have a trademark on it?

@RMerlin
I don't know if this is unique for me but Daylight Savings change today caused Let's Encrypt to get crazy because of Inadyns inability to resolve ns1.asuscomm.com after WAN restarted. For some reason daylight savings restarted WAN as part of the procedure which triggers Letsencrypt's DDNS failure notifications.

as of Alpha2 unable to add RT-AX58 as Mesh node on RT-AX88. It finds my other RT-AX88 just fine, but the AX58 doesnt show up in mesh search. So both RTAX88 on Alpha2 and joined in mesh.
Reverting to 386.4 Alpha1 makes it show up in mesh node search again.

Do you have both on alpha 2 or just the main router?

This version was well worth the wait. I seems that the dcd taint error is gone. Also I'm not showing any errors with my wireless n devices using 5G.

If @RMerlin ever makes a famous phrases section, he definitely needs to add

I call it "pounding code into submission through the application of debugging output carpet bombing".

to it.

Eric, you pulled your magic with this alpha release. Not sure what would have changed use so much, however with my AX86U, I was at around 80-90% memory consumption on prior alpha, though the new build I am sitting at just over 50% with everything running and no issues to report. Thank you for your patience, perseverance, and dedication to this effort.

I know that it may come to an end at some point in the future, and that will be a very sad day, however, you have affected so many people in such a positive way, which I hope you can realize and smile about.

Thank you!
