[alpha] Early preview builds for Asuswrt-Merlin 380.66

Just get back on topic: Running alpha .66 for two days now and all running smooth (basic operation). Will start using more of the features later this week, but stability, wifi signal all look fine so far.

If you are a 'heavy' Torrents user, you can set the buffers 'as requested' for throughput enhancement.

NOTE: On a PC the requested values are usually 'insignificant', but on a router with limited RAM they may not be appropriate.

However, you can temporarily issue the commands:

echo 4194304 > /proc/sys/net/core/rmem_max
echo 1048576 > /proc/sys/net/core/wmem_max

and monitor if there are any adverse impacts on the router, and if you are satisfied that the increased buffer sizes cause no detrimental impact, you can add the lines to /jffs/scripts/init-start to have them applied at each reboot.

Just a minor GUI issue to report. I have long SSID's for my Wi-Fi. As a result the SSID list at the top of the page takes up 2 lines. As a result the second line listing my second 5G network gets overwritten by the tabs of the main page. See below.

I installed 380.66_alpha2 without doing hard reset, router required a manual restart.
I noticed that has changed the date of wifi driver, but not the number.
At the moment, with basic settings, after a series of checks (WAN, WiFi stability, network management, DHCP, Virtual Server, VPN, Firewall Asus, AiCloud, Media Server, Samba 2, pen drive, Network Tools - Wake on LAN and other) it looks good.
For now nothing to report.

Some major changes coming to my professional life in the coming weeks, so I don't know how much development time I will be able to put into this in the coming weeks. So far, I haven't planned anything regarding 380.66, so this is just a GPL merge (was nice for once to have ALL the binary blobs for all supported models), and the usual random fix and tweaks here and there.

We are so very fortunate for your efforts. I have often wondered how you can find the time for a project that from my POV has spiraled way beyond its intended scope when you started it. It is no surprise to me that you are scaling back your efforts. Hopefully, this is a positive development for you. I clearly remember the early days of the RT-AC87U's rollout that you were the only reason I didn't return mine. As a matter of fact, the only reason that router model worked at all initially was due to your efforts. Regardless of how things may work out I want to say thank you.

After firmware update 380.66_alpha2, in my home network appear following phone devices completely unknowns to me:

WW_P01T_1

m8qlul_htc_europe
90:e7:c4:e5:8d:d8

Worried, I put these MAC addresses in the "Wireless MAC Filter Mode Reject" 2.4Ghz & 5Ghz, but they continue to appear on my network.

Does anyone have an idea of what they are?
Do I need to worry?

I also saw mobile phones and tv sets entering my Network after installing 380.66 alpha2.
Flashed back to 380.65.0 and all is well again. (ac5300)

Interesting, My AC68U works well (wifi seems more stable on 66 vs 65 - this is a subjective statement based on number of complaints from teenagers)
I also have never had WPS, yet following this update, WPS is on. Turned it off again... will watch it.

And where can I report translation errors? There is at one place an 'a' where actually an 'ä' should stand (German)[there it is 'und anderen UPnP-Geraten wie', but correctly it means 'und anderen UPnP-Geräten wie'].
