Asus-Merlin 384.15: amtm won't run, just hangs

Still not working.

I did a
reset to factory
reformat usb drive to ntfs
reformat jffs on reboot and use for scripts and configs (and did a reboot)
enable ssh
log in with ssh and type amtm

Still hangs after I press "1" + ENTER

Only 3% of JFFS is used.

And remove the USB device, just for the heck of it. Use the WebUI to do that.

Had the same issue on AC68U dirty flashed from latest official ASUS. Hanged on theme selection, processor usage skyrocketed, and after about 10 secs I got a segmentation fault.

In my case reset to factory and jffs reformat helped though.
Also I made sure to give it ample time between making any changes in GUI and actual reboots. I have it running in Media Bridge mode, if that is a relevant data point.

At what point is amtm hanging?
I need the full output of your ssh terminal to determine what's wrong and where.
Just run /usr/sbin/amtm

It hangs many times. First it hanged when I ran it for the first time. Then it hanged during diversion installation. It also hanged while updating the scripts. Amtm terminal never hanged for me on previous Merlin firmware (384.14) but it hangs on 384.15.
My router Asus 86U.
Edit- restarting the router fixes the issue.

Anything is possible, let's see if amtm is corrupted. Enter this, one line by one:

The last command will return nothing if the file is the same as the original.

Everything looks good. You have a network problem. Disable whatever you do on that so that diversion.ch is reachable from the router.

Everything looks good. You have a network problem. Disable whatever you do on that so that diversion.ch is reachable from the router.

I can ping diversion.ch from a pc behind this router. It seems to me that diversion.ch is reachable...

As far as I know I have in no way whathsoever blocked access to diversion.ch in the router. I just flashed it, and tried to install amtm...

I can also ping diversion.ch from the router (SSH session)

Could double NAT be the reason?

Check that double NAT, maybe that is interfering. Or plug that router directly into your modem/cablebox just to try.

I'll try, but it won't be for the next few hours (to many family members using internet, and they can't miss it for a second ;-) ).

Also, I see you checked the website, which appears to work for you as these GET requests have code 200 which is OK.

I just SSHed to my real router and got the file. So somehow double NAT is the problem

Sad, because that means more downtime for my network. I wanted to configure as much as possible before I would switch routers (and also to learn how this al works before I put it in production).
