Do you need to use Merlin, or are you that invested in Merlin that it's impossible to go back to the Asus firmware? If neither then you are just complicating things for yourself, but I'm really in that position where I miss the features of Merlin's firmware if I go back!
I am using Merlin software. When my router and my mobile phone are connected to the same wifi network, the Asus router app connects to the router. But when I go from home to work and my mobile phone is connected to the internet with mobile data, the Asus router application cannot connect to the router. I'm getting a "not reachable" warning. I did not have this problem when using the original Asus firmware. For this reason, I may revert to this version. Sometimes I get angry because Asus can't release a merlin firmware.

Hmm, personally I've found using the Asus app alongside Merlin firmware is "problematic". Regards using. As far as using the app when away from home, the settings I have mean that I need to have the router running as a VPN server to enable this (Instant Guard will do...).

Are you using Asus original version? Are you using 3.0.0.4.388.22525?

Is the upload speed fix in this firmware when using the 2.5 WAN port? I'm only getting 20 Mbps upload speed on this port of my 1G upload speed service wirelessly or wired and have to switch to one of the LAN port for WAN as a workaround.
Yes, what's up with the upload speed issue (I'm new to the GT-AX6000)? My upload speed has been cut from its already meagre 25-30Mbps to 5Mbps. Download speeds are as expected.

I recently noticed that this firmware version has some problems: after about 3 days of router uptime, I am no longer able to go at full speed (2300Mbps Download) but I only get ~1.6Gbps. I notice that when I run the tests, 1 core gets to 100%, while normally, when the router is just started (or at least within the first 2 days of startup) all cores remain at 0% and I am able to reach the maximum speed (2.3Gbps).
The router has a WAN in PPPoE, I do not have any VPN active, and the settings are the default ones. With the old version (3.0.0.4.386.49556) I never had any problems even after 2-3 months of uptime.

Is anyone experiencing a similar problem?

I have not tried this version but I've read Asus already fix the verizon issue since 21500+(not exact version). I'm just waiting for RMerlin's Alpha 2 version of this GPL or greater to find out if it still exist.

With this firmware some wifi devices stop working randomly. When I restart the router, start working again.

I read the log and see this pattern:

Maybe its the dnsmasq-dhcp service, so I disabled and enabled it and wifi devices working again.

I've had 3 disconnections in 2 days with this firmware where as the BETA was super stable. I reverted back to the original firmware (3.0.0.4.388.21617) that came with the router as that too was stable until they release a new one.

Oh? disconnects of what? I found this firmware to be the best yet for my small setup..laptop connects at 160 Mhz, has been stable and speeds are great.

sorry, should've clarified. My laptop is connected directly via ethernet LAN, like I could see the connection is on but there would be no internet connectivity until I reboot the router. Never happened with firmware 3.0.0.4.388.21617 and the beta 9.0.0.6.102.3506 but it also happened with 3.0.0.4.388.22068

Oh? that is odd.. I dont run my laptop directly connected...direcly connected is a switch with my wo.rk mac and PC.. never disconnected. Also directly connected...roku, xbox ... no disconnects.

I was having some problems with this release as well, and just went back to 388.1 (RMerlin) yesterday. Not sure if my problems were disconnects, some sort of hang, or exactly what. Recovered on it's own after a few seconds, no reboot needed. Nothing in the log was helpful. But 388.1 is working better, no problems, so I'll stay here for a while.

With Merlin 388.1 I had problems with 2.5G devices. Whenever the router reboots my NUC server's Asus USB-C2500 USB to 2.5G adapter remained dead/stuck until I disabled/enable it. The adapter was connected to the router's 2.5G LAN port. Also remaped the WAN port to the other 1G USB to lan adapter, plugged the USB-C2500 to the 2.5G WAN/LAN and the same thing happened. Finally got a QNAP 2.5 GbE QSW-1105-5T switch, connected it to the 2.5G LAN port and the same thing happened. Turning the switch off/on fixes it until next router reboot. Installed this official firmware, did a factory reset, set everything from scratch and so far so good. Now I reboot the router every now and then to see if the problem will return, but seems that now both the switch and the USB-C2500 work.
