Issue 1 - HP printer :( ( AiProtection identifys it as a threat to the network )
it sent me 10 emails in the past 16 hours and here is a copy.

Code:
Event number : 1
Alert typ : Infected device
Device : HPXXXXX
URL/IP access : 15.240.234.250

Suggest action: Your client devices has been detected suspicious networking behavior and blocked connection with destination server to protect your sensitive information.
Based on our recommendation, you can
1. Remove app that access this site and don't visit this website to prevent any personal information leak.
2. Check your router security setting.
3. Update security patch for your client or new firmware for your router.
Please refer to attached log file for detail information. You also can link to trend micro website to download security trial software for your client device protection.

Lan Speed Test 5 GHz + inSSIDer (Using 2&5 GHz from office with Intel Intel 7260 + latest drivers) btw router is in living room 9 Meters away.

RF Exposure from 1 Meter away (V/M) - don't get scared this number is normal because i was setting next to the router and TX power was 100%

6 V/M :D

USB Share is OK but not like Linksys WRT1900AC tested both from same location and under 5 GHz - WRT1900AC = 34 MB , RT-AC87R = 19 MB

Btw contacted Asus regarding the HP thing , and guess what :D

they didn't know that they have this router :p

recommended resetting and downloading the latest firmware and he was surprised when i told him that it's not even listed in your website

He asked for S/N , looked it up and found out that it is for "ASUS MeMO Pad 10"

then told me to call 812-282-2787 to get further help :D

Router takes 1 min 42 seconds to fully boot up and get the internet running

AC68U takes 36 Seconds to fully boot up - FW 1663

------

Media Bridged with AC68U :
Frequency: 5GHz
Link rate: 450 Mbps <<<<< why to get AC when N routers can do the same :)
oh btw , they are next to each other

I m Done Reporting ;) + Screw u asus :D

AiProtect will need some additional tweaks from TrendMicro/Asus. Here, it accuses my VoIP ATA of trying to attack my VoIP provider with its registration attempts, and would block my ATA after a few mins.

The longer boot time comes from two reasons:

1) The bootloader pauses for a fairly long time at power up (unsure why, maybe it's trying to boot over LAN?)

2) The firmware boot sequence has to pause for approximately 30 seconds while the Quantenna CPU boots its own firmware over tftpd (the boot image is copied to RAM by Asuswrt).

Also, the HTB warnings are nothing new, and have always been there in Asuswrt when you enable QoS. The kernel doesn't like some of the values Asuswrt uses when setting up traffic control. I don't think they have any negative impact (again, this has always been there), but I agree they can get annoying as they fill up Syslog.

You should definitely get more than that. My AC7260 connects at over 700 Mbps (I forgot the exact link rate).

I will turn off AiProtect and see what happens

Regarding boot time , it even dose a weird thing . Internet LED turns on and at the end around 1 min it turns off and back on at 1:38

Keep in mind that Motorola modem is up and running

But they should have dealt with it since its a new QoS engine

Yes definitely i was shocked when i got 450 . I will do hard reset and try again

Yeah btw AC7260 connects at 866 Mbps

Underneath it all you still have Linux's traffic shaper. The original QoS engine is still there (it's called "traditional QoS" on the QoS settings page).

Wait...this router has something built in from TrendMicro? Isn't that who brought us "PC-Cillin?" Uh-oh. Think I'll pass on this one.

I picked one up at BestBuy last night. Been up for almost 24 hours.

I noticed right away that you cannot disable WPS under the Wireless settings. It shows "On" and no matter how many times you click on it, it still shows "On" and appears to function.

This is probably a bug of the firmware. I also noticed the same issue here.

So based on a product they made 15 years ago, you decided that this new engine was automatically bad? You realize that there's probably not a single engineer left from those days, right? In addition to the fact that a packet inspector has next to zero relation to an antivirus from the late 90s.

Microsoft gave us both Vista and Windows 7. On which of these two products would you base your opinion of Microsoft?

The truth is in the middle - some products will be stinkers, others will be golden.
