Your lan Speed test is not correct. You did a local loop test on your PC and not on your network. 15,500Mbps is just not possible with that router.
You need to be connected to any pc to a shared folder on your network, by lan or wifi.
Here is an example of my speed test that is done from a laptop with a 100Mbps LAN NIC and to a desktop PC with a 1Gig LAN NIC card.
I used a 2,000MB sized file.
5 GHz LED Blinks all the time . When 2.4 GHz dose not at all
I have clients connected to each one of them but the 5 GHz acts strangely
Same problem here and also the "kernel: br0: received packet on vlan1 with own address as source address" issue.
Hoping a workaround can be found or a firmware update soon to fix.

I've seen similar messags in the past with other routers, often it's caused by having a client connecting to both Wifi and Etherhet at the same time, or the client switching between the 2.4 and the 5 GHz band. Try using different SSIDs if that's not already the case to ensure that clients don't hop back and forth.
Also look for any network loop if you have a switch on your network.
Thank you, it was coming from me jumping back and forth from 2.4 to 5. Due to the poor speeds on the 5 GHz band. I am assuming the 5 GHz problem is a firmware upgrade fix? Or possibly a bad unit, for exchange?

I was going to purchase this router to replace my AC68U and all of my devices connect through 5GHz but reading this concerns me a bit. Is anyone else who owns the AC87U having issues with 5GHz?
Also would you recommend it as an upgrade over the 68?

I haven't had any problems with 5Ghz besides the fact that if you try to disable WPS it will reset your wireless network settings. Hoping the firmware update addresses that. The range on it is pretty good, I have my router on the 1st floor and I get good the excellent coverage on the 2nd and basement. In fact I have coverage across the street.
If you hide the SSID's it will disable WPS. That was something I noticed as well but there is a workaround for getting it disabled.

What if you dont want to hide your SSID's ??
Then you need to wait for a firmware update to fix that, easy enough.
Ok sounds like there are alot of issues that need new firmware with this router. Have to admit this is a strange issue.
