I have MLO enabled in network settings but I have MLO Fronthaul for clients disabled in the network settings. What does MLO Fronthaul for clients do? Isn't it the same as turning on MLO in the wireless tab?
I’m seeing the same behavior as the last firmware. Once you activate MLO, occasional network delays occur on any SSID.
I will try to find a time when the rest of the house is sleeping for a more extensive test procedure and try to grab some system logs of post MLO activation behavior.
Looks like Asus has a sale on several routers, the BE92U being $30 off. But then at the same time, they dropped the retail list of the BE92U down to $249, so it makes for a nice $220 price. Amazon sold out, but BB had some last night and I had to bite at that price.I saw the price drop, and I'm thinking of picking one up to use as an AI Mesh node. Having read through all of these posts, it doesn't seem like the bugs people are experiencing should impact it's ability to be a good node. Thoughts?
My goal is to replace a current AI Mesh Node (AX88U) with something that will support Wifi 7 and 6GHz, while being able to mount on a wall, as the unit lives behind the TV in my media room.
RIP I paid MSRP at best buy 299 for this a while back. With all the bugs and such this router initially had I should have waited.
My MLO test exhibited the same symptoms as before.
I am seeing the following from the kernel:
kernel: WLC_SCB_DEAUTHORIZE error (-30)
Any thoughts?
I already reported the logs like 5 times using the built in feedback tool and the only thing asus has responded with is to wait 1-2 business days and it's been more than a week. This is all I can find on a Google.
RT-BE92U - On-going random losses of Internet/WAN access
I've had the RT-BE92U for a few weeks now and a couple of times a day it simply stops routing DNS WAN traffic and the Wi-Fi networks also stop routing. All Internet access grinds to a halt because of this. Sometimes it returns to normal on its own but today it was so inconvenient that I got it...zentalk.asus.com
Everyone on this thread should be reporting errors in the log or core technology functional issues to Asus from within the routers feedback setting. It's important for us to get these issues on the radar before Asus firmware development moves onto other devices and only updates this router with security updates.
No tech company responds immediately to feedback or issue reporting. At best, those just go into a ticket system, and they have metrics that report on the highest number of the same issues, reported through multiple people. Then their dev teams prioritize each issue and address them at a much later date, if at all. Tech issue reporting often requires playing the long game. However, if enough people report an issue over time, it may just get addressed during the device's active improvement firmware years. After a couple years, I'm betting they drop back to mostly security updates and move active improvement efforts onto newer routers.I already reported the logs like 5 times using the built in feedback tool and the only thing asus has responded with is to wait 1-2 business days and it's been more than a week.
I’m running the 92u at another location right now. I’ve also sent logs to support three times but so far no response from them. I did install the latest firmware and did a reset.I already reported the logs like 5 times using the built in feedback tool and the only thing asus has responded with is to wait 1-2 business days and it's been more than a week.
