I am using one AX11000 with 2 XT8. Currently one of my XT8 is the main router and AX11000 and another XT8 acts as node. My problem is i am not able to get the node to connect to another node using 5Ghz-2. It always connect to 2.4Ghz between nodes. No problem to connect to 5Ghz-2 if connect to the main router. I have tried using AX11000 as main router and i am having the same issue. I am getting -30dBm between nodes.

BTW, this issue only exist after beta firmware update 386.4xxxx from 386.3xxxx.

@ASUSWRT_2020 : The ZenWifi CT8 is not listed as under testing in the 1/21 update; is that at all an indication that it will not get an official AiMesh 2.0 update? Or am I reading too much into this? The reason I ask is that when I called Asus phone support (before I found this forum), they indicated that there was a technical limitation to the CT8 for the next AiMesh 2.0 update...but when I found RC-10 and it's support of the CT8, I assumed the support agent was misinformed.

I'm more than happy to wait and utilize beta firmware in the meantime, but I would like to migrate to an official release eventually. I'm approach the close of my return window for the CT8 and unfortunately, the CT8 doesn't function in my household layout without the beta firmware and the ability to bind devices to nodes.

Appreciate all the work; compared to my Netgear, the support on my router from both users and Asus has been top notch. Thank you!

Anyone seen this firmware posted for any models as of yet ?

EDIT: Never mind i see the new updated patch 2.83 is broke. So we will have to wait till they release another fixed patch before Asus or Merlin can merge it. :(

I can not get my AX11000 to flash to official now from the beta. I get invalid firmware error. tried re-downloading it, did a full reset on the router. Not sure what to do.

From which version to which version?

That's concerning - I've been eagerly awaiting a new update as mine are doing all sorts of strange things with WiFi

I had the same problem and used the Firmware Restoration program to update.

Power management issue for the RT-AC86U is fixed in 386_41700.
Nice, so we just need a new beta or a public release of 386_41700, to have a play with.
Thanks for the update on this.
