Tested my environment with two different laptops and the same result. Flashed back to .29 with 0 configuration changes and speeds are back to what they were. Flashed back to .30 and have the same slow speeds. Cleared NVRAM. Same result. I don't make it a habit of randomly changing configs when I update firmware because I want to see if there is any performance differences. Maybe you should check your build.

Unresponsive UI

Since flashing this release, when I try to use the router UI (using Chrome), many pages are unresponsive. I get a blank white page with the little Chrome "refreshing" circle spinning endlessly. Sometimes if I hit F5 whil this is happening the page will then work, but the next one I try ends up hung again. I tried IE in case it was Chrome-specific and had the same result. Suggestions?

Do you use Download Master, or share a USB disk with lots of media files on it? If so, your router might be busy with the disk. Try again after giving it a 20-30 mins to settle down.

Check the Sysinfo page under Tools, especially the CPU load and free RAM.

Those are pretty good numbers for a dual-stream interface. For some reason I can only hit about 225 Mbits with my USB-AC53.

It was so sluggish I decided to back off the new release and go back to 354.29. For the record, I don't use Download Master (not really sure what it is). I do have a 32GB USB disk plugged into it, but it is largely empty, so it shouldn't be busy with it. I'll likely give it another go but not tonight.

IPv6 seems to have been broken in 372.30, it worked in 270.25b (I'm willing to try 270.26b if you would like me to, I just never noticed it was released). I am getting a lot of spam in my logs from radvd like so..

I have tried rebooting (both the router and the modem), turning IPv6 off then on again. I can post a full log of you need, but it gets kind of long with radvd restarting every 10 seconds.

iPv6 is working fine here. Not sure why it isn't working for you. Radvd only restarts about once a day for me. There was the initial radvd restart at about 1:30AM last night when I started using the new firmware and IPv6, and again this morning when I added a static address. At least I think that's what caused radvd to restart this morning...doesn't really matter, since IPv6 is still working.

Anyways, IPv6 isn't broken here, it's working just fine.

DDNS is not working, reverted to 354.29, I am having some problems, cant connect to my synology, nor router from the web, reverted and all is ok, even after clear nv ram ddns and connections from web did not work.

There are 9 different DDNS services - which one are you using?

I tested both dyndns.org and no-ip with success here. Also specify how you are determining that DDNS isn't working, and post System Log entries related to "ddns" as this will give detailed debugging info about the update process.

Yes, Comcast has had IPv6 up here for several months, almost a year now. It isn't really important at this point, but I always turn it on and use it with new firmware to make sure that it's still working. Yahoo, Google, and Facebook all use it, so it's easy to test *smile*.

I have no way of testing native IPv6 here since my ISP doesn't support it. I will try to do at least 6in4 tunnel tests later on. Since it works for other Comcast users you should compare your configuration with him, see if something is different. This line might possibly be a hint?

If you use Google Chrome take a look at the IPvFoo extension. It makes it easy to determine if you are connecting over IPv4 or IPv6 to a specific website.

Yes, that's the chrome extension that I use, and it does make it very easy to verify that IPv6 is up after updating firmware. Good stuff.

And yes, I don't have this line in my system log:

"no auto-selected prefix on interface br0, disabling advertisements"

which sounds very much like things aren't working right. The lines that I have in my log instead are:

The IPv6 log that I have is very similar to the OP's above, except it lists my desktop system under "IPv6 LAN Devices List". Otherwise, it is 1:1 with the OP's IPv6 log, except it has the addresses allocated to me, of course *smile*. I've also checked the other hardwired and wireless devices in my house, and all also have working IPv6, so radvd is doing its job.

Hi,

If you are now on another firmware version you would need to go back to the one with the problem and run things again to produce a syslog.log with the entries.

For the future you could use something like the script I have created here to save a copy of syslog.log on your USB drive between reboots and firmware changes (actually it creates a history of syslog.log's).

I'm not sure what configuration could be different. For Comcast, you only need to set it to Native with DHCP-PD (or, that's all I've needed to do in the past).

I have no idea. I was hoping someone here would know something. I'm guessing that is just informational though. ie: radvd is just telling you that it hasn't received a prefix yet, so it is not going to send any IPv6 advertisements.

If I disable router advertisement, radvd stops outputting anything (most likely because it is now disabled), but something continues restarting.
