This is kind of an odd one. Everything seemed to be working well with 372.30_2, until I noticed last night that my iPad 3 was running kind of slow on the WiFi, about 1/2 speed. So I tried both resetting networking and a restore install on the iPad, and neither helped.

It occurred to me this morning that I noticed this after changing to 372.30 from 270.26b, so I thought what the heck, try going back to that. On 270.26b my iPad is running at full speed again on WiFi.

Don't know how to account for this, everything else was working great on 372.30 wireless, including my laptop, android phone, Verizon network extender, etc. Just thought I'd mention it, curious if anyone else has noticed this?

Where did you find 1363 and 1393? I can only find 1300 (ASUS RT-AC66U GPL for Firmware version 3.0.0.4.372.1300, 415.13 MB) here.

btw, I found that my router became a little cooler after the update. I mean it doesn't try to be a heater anymore. But maybe it's just my personal impression.

1363 was the first RT-N66U release, 1393 was the second RT-N66U release.
