well, I had to roll back. I was loosing or dropping my ip and would lose internet access every 3 or so days. never had that issue before. I had to reboot the router to get it to connect. really liked the ad blocker.

I came here to see if I was the only one. Random times ill wake up, come home, or just be in the middle of using the internet and Ill have to power the router down to get it working again.

I have problem with 5GHz. When i set Hide SSID then i cant connect to my networkv for long time (about few minutes). When i disable this function i can connect without problem.

for 66u this work ok

It seems that printing support is broken in this release.
I'm getting:

INTERNAL ERROR - FALSE
POSITION : 0x1e4c (7756)
SYSTEM : h6fwsim_snipe/xl_image
LINE : 132
VERSION : SPL 5.07 06-27-2006

printed instead of actual document while Samsung ML-1640 printer connected to 87U.
Printer still works fine when connected directly to PC.
Never had such problem with older releases or dd-wrt.

Is there a wish list for Merlin firmware?

I have had some issues where the web interface stops working the moment I click on Traffic Analyzer, no data is shown in the window (even after 30 minutes) and the only way to make Traffic Analyzer work again is to restart the router.

Changing the order of the tabs in Traffic Analyzer so that the Traffic Monitor tab is shown first instead of the Statistic tab would probably avoid these lockups.
Of course clicking the Statistics tab would probably lockup the web interface again.

Thank's for the reply, but this has happened after uptime > 8 days (this time) and the previous time after an uptime > 22 days.

Factory reset was performed when 378.53 was installed, all settings were manually configured after the reset.

Traffic Analyzer usually works for weeks before it messes up.

I've got two SSID's and set them to be hidden since I started using the router last September; never had any problems like this, neither with any Merlin firmware nor with the original Asus ones that I was using until Dec. last year. Must be an incompatibility issue between the Quantenna 802.11ac implementation and your client devices...

ok, i think that problem is that quantenna subsystem starting slower (maybe when i change "Hide SSID" settings then quantenna restarting ??

I would try reflashing the firmware. No factory reset or anything else, just reflash 378.53_0. I know it should not make any difference, and it likely won't, but what have you got to lose?

I can't send picture, with iMessage, on the wifi network (Asus RT-AC3200 with 378.53 Merlin)

When I turn off the firewall, I'm enable to send, but not receive.
At first I was thinking of a cable modem problem, but without the firewall, I think more a router problem.

Any solutions ?

Same issue here on both an RT-AC68U and a 56U (at different locations). Both are on a PPPoE connection. Routers both hang after varying times between one day and up to three days. Can't access the web GUI when this happens and only a power cycle will bring them back up. Two others (68U) running on "Automatic IP" are fine.

I'm having this problem too after moving to 378.53 - I lose "hardwired" LAN connections - wireless keeps working but only solution is to powercycle the router. Happens every couple days and sometimes more than once a day, like today!!! this really sucks.. Really tempted to return this POS and get a different brand router. I've never had good stability with this Asus on either ASUS firmware or Merlin FW....

You might want to try turning off Traffic Analyzer if that feature is not important to you. I had similar issues and turning off Traffic Analyzer solved it for me.

My internet connection is 60/20 and I know that doesn't make difference if HA is enabled or not on that matter, but is there any advantages on disabling HA, or should I leave it on Auto?

Got 2 RT-AC68... running one on 378.52_2(uptime 3 weeks) and the other one on 378.53.The one on 378.53 is still on Signature version 1.030 since the release and the one on 378.52_2 already have 2 updates since and is on 1.046
I never saw "wrs service start " in the logs on the .53 since 3 weeks, so the signature is stick on
1.030.

I know the trick to update signatures... Clicking on AIProtec and Adaptive QOS and Traffic analyzer a couples of time and normaly the signature is updated.Nothing happens on .53
