My wife’s iPhone MAC address changed when it reconnected to the new router's network. This one I don’t get. At one time the MAC ended in C0:AE and now ends in 07:27! I have noticed that there’s 2 MAC’s on the phone. One is in “General” > “About” WiFi address and the other is listed the wifi connection SSID when you press the information button that’s beside it. This may be normal for Apple products but I’ve never seen it but I’m not an Apple user.
This is an iOS 14 privacy feature, but she can disable it for your home SSIDs to avoid the MAC change. It’s called “Private Address” in the wireless network details. Turn it off per SSID and the old MAC will be seen again.

Thank you so much dave14305...I thought I was losing my mind!
I guess I should have read up on it. My daughter's phone didn't do it but I'm not sure if she has upgraded her phone.
I'm not a fan of Apple anyways...

Cheers,

X

ooooo That has helped me, I was beggared if I could understand why I was seeing the same device noted with differing MAC addresses, it also applies to Android devices.....

Thanks

I have RT-AC68U router and I'm trying to set up an Adaptive QOS but when I click on "Apply" nothing happens. Am I missing something? Thanks
how's your JFFS status? is it mounted?

Router is a RT AC86U, did a dirty flash from 384.18 and got a really weird behavior out of 384.19, all the entires under LAN > DHCP Server are gone for "Manually assigned IPs", I've done a factory restore reset, re-added all entries, upon rebooting the router they are all gone again. So, I'm not sure anymore what to do other than trying to roll back to 384.18.

Only "Error" mentioned on system log is "May 5 02:05:18 kernel: ^[[0;33;41m[ERROR pktrunner] runnerUcast_inet6addr_event,202: Could not rdpa_ucast_ipv6_host_address_table_find^[[0m" nothing else, I'm not sure I'm supposed to attach system logs in here tho, cause the attachment system doesnt seem to allow for it.

@NovusThi, read the changelog file and follow those instructions.

I'm not sure what you're refering to as I've read it and haven't seen anything I should do, only actionable item is around reseting the jffs partion, which I've already done. Care to be a little more specific?

Check the /jffs to make sure it is mounted/ Format if necessary.

This firmware has been running well for me. Looking forward to the new codebase.

Yesterday I upgraded two AC68U's from 384.18 to 384.19. Both routers had two OpenVPN servers enabled. After the upgrade restart server 1 on both routers failed to start. Disabling then starting the servers got them running on both routers. Have not been able to reboot the routers due to network needs to see if the problem persists.
Not complaining just reporting.

Heads up, I think it's now time to put this thread to bed. I will be shutting it down in the coming days, please create a separate thread if you need to ask anything.

What was the reason logged in System Log?

Edit: Just noticed this was for server2. There are no entries in the syslog for openvpn-server1 untill I restarted it 6 hours after upgrade/reboot.
Had the same issue with 384.17 when the DHCPD6 could not get an IPV6 address. I disabled the IPV6 and had no problems until today.
